  1. SOLD --- 3/27/14 I have a nice set of T6 Toomey pipes and silencers .The billet hangers in the pic are not included but everything else is .There is a rub mark on the one pipe from my fender but these are a clean set of pipes.$ 400 plus shipping
  2. The V force 4 's and a +4 timing plate are great mods for the money .A cool head with 21 cc domes will bump the compression a little and work well with pump gas .Pulling the motor and sending it for porting and having the crank trued and welded is also a good idea that can save you some trouble down the road .
  3. Bump for a nice set of pipes I'm surprised they haven't sold yet
  4. You'll shoot your eye out
  5. Sounds like carbs to me besides if it's been sitting 8 years the first thing that you should do is pull and clean them regardless .Also pay attention to which carb slide comes out of which carb and be sure to make sure and not mix up the carb float bowls as they are different and need to stay with the carb they came off of .One last note make sure when you re install the carbs you put the crossover tube (small hose between carbs ) back on before you attempt to re start it as it will save you from making another post .
  6. Pull that carb pull the float bowl and check the float height the spec is 21mm here is a pic of where to measure you may also have some dirt in the needle seat or need a new needle valve assembly .
  7. Yeah that's usually the case I am not trying to cheap out as that's not me. I try to do things right and I saw this thread and thought it was a good option since others had done it.
  8. Damnit ! oh well and I thought I had found a good alternative / cheaper yet reliable when I found this thread .Are people having issues after doing this mod with ball joints wearing out or safety or something .
  9. I realize that but my question is are all yfz 450 shocks the same to do this mod ? If not what years work ?
  10. I am looking to put yfz 450 shocks on my Banshee as described in this thread and want to know if all the yzf 450 shocks are the same or not .Seems like the people who have done this are pretty happy with the results I just need to know what model year shocks to get or if it matters.I am going to buy +2 +1 a arms and dont wanna spend 1000 dollars or more to do a a arms and shocks at the same time so the 150-250 dollars for yfz shocks seems like a good idea .
  11. Bumping an old thread but have a question will newer yfz 450 shocks work on +2 +1 arms as well doing the modification described in this thread or do I need to buy shocks from a certain model year 450 ?
  12. Well thats kinda hard to say have you checked the basics spark, compression, ect.... If it has been sitting a lot or for an extended period of time it may very well be the carbs and cleaning them may solve your running problems .
  13. I actually bought an action packer 24 gal size and a 4' x 8' sheet of that 1" insulation board lined the bottom of the action packer with it , put the engine in 2 contractor bags ,used some expanding foam in separate bags around the engine itself , packing peanuts , tied some small rope around the a/p lid tightly and then lined a large cardboard box with the 1" insulation board on all sides then top and bottom and filled the rest with packing peanuts around the engine that is inside the action packer inside the box .I sure hope it makes it there safely .Thanks for the help and I can't wait to get this thing back and running again .
  14. Will the 24 gallon one work or does it need to be bigger and I assume you mean zip tie the lid shut
  15. ok google helped me out on that looks like a trip wal mart or lowes tomorrow to get one and some of the expanding foam thanks for the help I hadn't thought of one of those.
  16. So I have searched a bit and need some advice on shipping my engine .I have read totes , rubbermaid containers ect.. but am looking for the best way to ship it .Has anyone used a cooler to put them in seems like somebody told me that works well but I'm a little nervous sending it like that any suggestions , pics , dimensions of containers or what you used is appreciated .
  17. Fairly certain I have found a set although the set he has looks to be real nice thanks for the help though !
