  1. I know this is a really old thread but I am about to go to my first dirt drag with my banshee and I have a brand new set of 4 snows that I am gonna use I actually bought them last winter for the snow and it never fuckin snowed . So I have a few questions what is a good tire pressure for the 4 snows when doing dirt drag and if I were to get NEW front tires what would work well for dirt drag and my normal trail / field riding.
  2. Well I have checked squish using both methods and the readings are identical .I much prefer just bending the solder it's much easier and a whole lot less time consuming and as I said my readings were identical .I switched domes and now have a squish of .053
  3. I would ditch that stock air box for some K & N pod filters and outerwears you just gotta be careful in water with pods .Outerwears do work well though. Lmk if you need 270 s and I will send em to ya Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2
  4. Maybe it wasn't mis information but according to the link posted it was.Seems like there is some contradicting info on the site at times and I just like to be sure not only for my own piece of mind but for others who may read this thread in the future and have the same questions on this topic. New domes are already ordered from FAST and should be here by tomorrow .
  5. Jeff said it may lack some bottom end with the .058 and from my research I also have found that to high of a squish will " leave power on the table " I didn't spend money on this engine to do that hence the reason I want to swap domes .
  6. It's people like him that ruin forums with their asshole attitude and mis information
  7. I have turned wrenches on 2 stroke and 4 stroke outboard engines for a long time and am known in my area to be one of the best .I never heard of squish before buying a banshee as we don't check it on outboards .I thought it was ok to ask questions on a forums but I guess you knew everything when you bought your banshee .So thanks
  8. I think you need to look over that diy again the only reason I asked about the o rings is because you gave mis information earlier in this thread here is a quote directly from the diy link (o-ring seal type of heads do not use a head gasket and the o-rings are not necessary for this test) Here is the link read it over so you don't misinform anyone else http://www.rb-design...h-band-test.htm I turn wrenches for a living and have probably built more engines in my day than you will ever see it's guys like you that give out wrong info that fuck these forums up for people .I have never checked squish on a banshee before and I want to be sure it is done properly . The engine was just sent back to me from FAST with a squish of .058 Jeff said the domes may need to be changed due to the high squish but to try it first .I did and it seemed to lack some low end so I'm swapping domes but still want to check it "properly "
  9. I am a little ocd myself and this will be the first time I have checked squish so I want to be sure it's being done right and hopefully this thread will help some other people in the future .
  10. Correct me if I am wrong but your still gonna have to do it twice in order to check both as one piston is traveling down while the other is going up so it would still expose the ports on one cylinder possibly allowing the solder to drop in the exh port if you tried to both at once .
  11. The T6 s have been a good pipes for me and I have only ridden the T 5 s for a short time but I think I'm gonna like them to .From everything I have read and researched about the two pipes T5 or T6 is that the T6 are a better low end pipe and good for stock bike with bolt ons and the T5 s are better for porting and mods and a top end pipe .Although I will say these T6s with pod filters , +4 timing plate, cool head, and v force 4 s perform pretty darn well for a stock engine and makes for a reliable fun ride.
