  1. could be a dirty/bad contact in the thumb or key switch too
  2. remove plug boots and trim the wires back about 1/4" might even just get new boots. check for a burned wire between the right exhaust and the airbox.
  3. Wow, just wow. When I swapped tires for beer, it was a painless and even pleasant transaction. I only asked for a sixer, and was delivered a full case, by a pretty girl no less. Yes, a very pleasant transaction, while this seems, well, just the opposite. GLWS
  4. Good parts off of a super clean, fast bike, buy with confidence!
  5. I know this won't help, but it something simple that you've already checked or mistakenly overlooked, always is. Case in point - Once I just KNEW my choke cross over hose was on, bike would not start. Rolled it outside in the daylight the next day, it was on, just not totally on correctly.
  6. gas in tank old? or same as what you poor in the cylinders?

  8. short of getting you another complete carb to try.
  9. I've never had a reed issue, so not your guy there.
  10. Man, this is tough. Just for shits and gigs, I'd pull the exhaust and check for blockage.
  11. ever actually check the pick up gap?
  12. if the right one is completely closed, it won't run, yes.
  13. I'd put a proper TORS kit on it with separate idle screws so as not to rely on the cable for both.
  14. their was a guy on here once that left a rag in the intake. And have had exhaust plugged with mice nests
  15. have you ran a piece of copper wire through the pilot jet?
  16. You can open the bowl drain and see if fuel flows freely, that will test if the carb is at least getting fuel. (No plugged lines and needle opening from the seat)
  17. You can actually just pull the flywheel attaching nut and look down the keyway and see if it's still lined up with a key. (or if it's loose anyway) Shouldn't move at all with the nut off. No need to pull the flywheel just to inspect.
  18. Re-read your post when you're sober and maybe you'll get it. Seriously, stick around - read plenty. And again, welcome to BHQ
  19. I encourage you to thoroughly re-examine your assessment of said situation.
  20. Yes, That will be what keeps the handlebars from meeting your chin.
