  1. I'm guessing your cap wasn't sealing on the new rads neck
  2. At least the one that is leaking. But yes - both that way you can open them to see if your carbs are getting fuel, and close them and not be a fire hazard leaking gas. Of course we've not even gotten to why it won't start. Except maybe old gas and plugged up carbs. Get your Clymers manual on order?
  3. Make sure the bullet connectors on the yellow and black wires off of the stator are clean and tight.
  4. They are not supposed to. There is a small screw head that is bowl drain, clean it first, unscrew it, clean it again, screw it in until no fuel runs out. You may need to take the bowl off to clean it inside too.
  5. So I'm clear, you're referring to the lines that leave the bottom of the bowls and go to the ground?
  6. Those lines are bowl drains, fuel shouldn't be running through them unless you open that little phillips screw in the bottom of the bowl.
  7. do you have a dual outlet petcock? post plenty of pics
  8. Well, when the coolant gets hot it expands... If it was full to the top when cold, it will be over full at operating temp and coolant will need to escape.
  9. look over all the wires for mice chewing, since it's been sitting too. Especially plug wires, they like those.
  10. coolant expands when it gets hot, has to go somewhere. As long as you look in the cap and there's fluid cover the tubes, you're OK. But keep an eye on it anyway for a while. You not running the overflow bottle?
  11. They use the same bearings, just in different spots. The Banshee spindle (chrome) has the inner spacer built on, while the YFZ does not, and it's still shorter.
  12. so it passed leak down? Update us.
  13. Yes, stock crossover is best. Do you run a lid? best not to for more air with those mods
  14. and outside temp? agree sounds lean
  15. clean up the connector spades and try again
  16. So really, what's the deal with asking a question and then logging off immediately? Is it a phone thing?

  17. sorry for the crappy pic, banshee hubs are about 1/2" deeper at 3 1/2", than YFZ at about 3"
  18. have to use photobucket or facebook to host them copy image, I use a album on Facebook- easy
  19. Do you have a "T" in the fuel line? Doesn't make sense that fuel runs only to one carb.
  20. 2 Phillips screws hold the petcock to the tank. remove it and spray with carb cleaner, be careful with the filters. Would also help to thoroughly degrease the entire quad, especially where you'll be disassembling parts. if you remove the tank and tip it on it's side (petcock up) then remove petcock and pour old fuel into a can, won't spill everywhere.
  21. I know the carbed Yfz's are different than Banshee
  22. I'm not sure I'm following, cuz it does. Having trouble loading pics?
  23. there is a pin on the swingarm that aligns in a slot on the bracket, sometimes a bushing is required for a proper fit
  24. Welcome, If it's been sitting that long you should drain the tank and clean the filter built into the fuel petcock. And use fresh gas. You might get lucky, but should clean out the carbs as well. Buy a Clymers manual specifically for the Banshee, read read read.
