  4. The technical threads on ps are the direct result of the caliber of the members that were on the site at the time. here there are so many members who dont understand shit. Maybe we could get into some more in depth tech if all the noob crap was restricted to one forum. make it so they can only post there untill they have like 100 posts or something. also if we used the tech thread for tech discussion and held back from arguing in true bhq fashion i think the 30 or so knowledgablee guys on here could bring this site close to ps levels.
  5. The nice part about ps was you could get real deep tech info on there. multiple builders discussing highly technical issues. here you really need to pick and choose what info is fact and fiction. this site is more entertaining thats for sure. but i bet 50% of the members cant do a complete engine assembly. (i just mean stock assemble not custom build)
  6. Builders cut in custom windows or drill holes to allow for better wrist pin lubrication. Ive been thinking about adding windows to mine.
  7. Btw if you end up cutting a coil dont stretch it back to the same oe lenrgh. that raises thepressure back up a little. you could maybe remove a fiber and double stack a steel to get a similar effect as a cut coil. not sure if that will work in a stock basket but on a 8 plate hinson it would work.
  8. You do realize that northern ca could be from the oregon border to around fresno ish area. it could be 8hrs depending on location. im pretty sure he is from around marysville.
  9. All stock or possibly even 1 coil cut on stock spring. then add an extra nut on the arm weight if you feel it slip or if you need it to lock up sooner.
  10. Less base spring pressure would help. lets the clutch slip a little. make sure you weight is positioned correctly on the bike while launching. also make sure tire pressure is aroun 3-4 psi.
