  1. I'd love to ride with you and get some pointers! I'll trade you a couple tanks of 32:1!
  2. Let's go Buckeyes!

  3. I need a power hook up for my camper. Not full hook ups.
  4. Thanks, I can figure it out but it's a lot easier with someone who's done it before... As with most things in life as well...
  5. Do you guys ever do any work on the bikes while your there? I'd love to get some help installing my +4 timing plate and sync - ing my carbs.
  6. Guys, the choke knob just won't stay out any more and it's a little difficult to kick the engine and hold the knob out at the same time. So, is there a way to adjust the friction or is it just shot and needs replacement? Any tricks to make it work? Thanks!
  7. The aroma of Banshee exhaust hangs thick in the damp night air...

  8. New fuel valve installed but now the carbs are overflowing... Can't win.

  9. Thanks for the tips. I'm working on it today, as well as repairing those crazy brass inserts in the back of the tank that some previous owner over-tightened and stripped out.
  10. It's 2 ounces, packaged just the picture above. I think I paid 4 dollars and change.
  11. I just picked up a tube at Autozone. We'll see how it works.
  12. Having one cylinder go lean while the other runs is definitely a valid concern. The valve originally had a screen on it but it was gone on the one I got. The "filters" I got are just stainless strainers with probably the same mesh as the stock screen. Having 2, I would hazard a guess that the volume of fuel per unit area of filter media is much less than the stocker. There was a lot of crud in the bottom of the tank and I'd rather not have that going through the small passages in the carbs.
  13. Hey, I got a Pingel valve from a member here and I'm going to install it this weekend. Couple of mods I'm doing - One, there's no screen on the valve so I'm installing a couple serviceable fuel screens in the lines going to the carbs. Two, I'm making my own billet flange for the valve to connect to the bottom of the tank because I don't really care for the thinner aluminum flange that comes with the valve. This is also going to allow me to use the stock tank outlets and merge them into one for the valve. Now, I don't have a gasket so what is a good, fuel proof sealant I can use in place of a gasket to protect the jount between the valve flange and the tank? Thanks!
  14. This is something I've wondered about as well. I come from the turbodiesel world and it's all about EGT. I would suspect these have an ideal operating temp as well.
  15. Hi, looking back through here, I didn't see where you mounted the O2 sensor? Is there any discussion of choosing a location? Thanks!
  16. After reading through all of this, I think I'm going to end up with some small bore Shearer's. They seem to get the most favorable reviews. I appreciate all the discussion. I'm learning a lot.
  17. Oh look, an eagle!

  18. Nice... It's my first Banshee. I've never heard another one so I have nothing to compare it to! It sounds loud as hell to me! Anyway, nice bike you have there! That's what mine is supposed to look like without all the crap from the previous owner...
  19. Yeah, the packing in my pipes is so wet, you could probably wring it out. How tight do you pack the filler? I'd like to get this done before I start riding again.
  20. Looking at my Serval cylinders, it doesn't look like they've been ported but I'm assuming the port design is different than stock hence the benefit of running them, besides the displacement advantage. Thanks again for the discussion.
  21. Quote from the Sniper intro thread: "Servel would need a little coaxing to be a great match for Snipers, but you could still bring it into a format less than full drag insanity and very dunable...Jim"
  22. I took a look at Snipers but they seem to be all about drag/high end power and I'm going for trails/low/mid. I'll take another look.
