Just not going for that price any more. an 02 just sold on here for $1875. No diffrence between an 02 and an 05 so why pay 3000 more for the same thing. Maybe if you hold out long enough you will find some sucker that doesnt know they can get one any cheaper.
good luck
WOW
if you dont know what you are talking about maybe you shouldn't try to help.
.080 would definetly bring the dome closer to the top of the piston than .060.
but I still dont thik it should be hitting. My stock head had at least .080 off of it and still didnt have a problem.
So there will be room for some big trailers in that cowboy camp. I have been to notrh end but always stayed in south end. Dont think i have ever been in cowboy camp.
I have a 30 foot enclosed and plan to have a roof top a/c before then. soooooo.
What is the latest word on the business sale? Is it sold?
I am starting to get kinda curious now of what all is needed to get going. I am about to sell some investment property around here and might be interested.
that sounds like the best to me. Save a spot for our 30 footer. We will load her up with the sounds, tv, games, couches, recliners, and whatever or whoever else we can get in there. If the bar is gone we might have to put one of those in there also.
That probably isnt a bad price for your bike. Unfortunatly in my opinon year doesnt matter a whole lot on a banshee, and it seems like lately they have been coming down in price. It is not real uncommon to find a decent shee for 3k or under.
Not what you want to hear, but it is just my opinion.
Is that compression low? I was thinking that 135 was stock. should be a little higher with milled head and bored cylinders right? Or was 125 stock?
TORS are gone right?
Not sure what the diffrence in altitude is but i live in Missouri and a piped banshee with airfilter and stock carbs here is in the 290-320 range most of the time it is 300 and up.
If you cant afford a $20 pair of bearings now i am sure you wont be ablet to afford to rebuild the topend again later, and if you cant afford $20 bearings you probably cant afford to even go riding anyway.
I am sure some people reuse them but i always replace em.

I believe the biggest reason people used blaster pistons is because it had the correct wrist pin height for long rod (not stroker) motors, but now weisco has the 795 pistons which have the correct pin height and the 795 piston also has the correct dome shape for the banshee. With the blaster pistons you would have to reshape the domes on your head for proper squish.
later
well my .02
Make sure there is no bear wires arcing to the frame or wiring harness getting melted on some pipes somewhere. Vent tube on your fuel cap is not pinched offf.
and possibly flywheel rubbing some wires near your stator.
Later
yeah what the said.
If you have the cash the 4mm longrod kit would be a good choice., but if you are lacking in funds. Stock crank would probably be cheaper. Or you could send your bad crank to someone like Tony Dukas and he will make it a longrod and rebuildable and trued and welded. Now i had mine done by him a few years ago and i think it was less than $400 but not real sure. Might be more or less by now.
