  1. I'll try to make it out. I should have the 421 running good by then. I'll be bringing some other BHQ guys from the Cincinnati area with me!
  2. I won the ebay carbs. I hope whoever I sniped last minute wasn't an HQ member. If so sorry guys. I didn't see this until after the auction ended.
  3. Trades only or would you sell them? What's you sale price? I'm interested.
  4. Hey guys, I’m in the midst of a 421 cub build. Although this is my third Banshee build, this is my first build that is not a stock cylinder so this is new territory for me. I have some rookie questions about Cub cylinders. From what I understand, these cylinders have to either be sleeved or Nikasiled? Most people go with Nikasil? So does this mean that the bore is always 68mm and unlike stock cylinders, you can’t bore/hone when damage happens to the cylinder wall? If I understand this correctly, Nikasil is very strong, but if you do damage the Nikasil, instead of boring/honing like you would on stock cylinders, you would have to have the Nikasil redone which would keep the bore size at 68mm? I’ve also heard that if you did sleeve a cub cylinder, it can be difficult to find any other size pistons than the standard 68mm? So if you went 30 over, it would actually be difficult to find a piston to match the bore. Can someone please help me clear this up? Thanks!
  5. I bet locals are sneaking in still and riding. I wonder how hard it will be to stop that!
  6. I talked to him at the outdoor show in Cincinnati several years ago and he told me he was going to have to open the park up to trucks/4x4s to make ends meet. At that time the land was for sale and he almost seemed depressed at the show when we spoke. I personally don't think he was hurting for money, but if you really do the math I think it was worth it to sell. He had the land for sale for 3.3 million dollars. http://www.landsofamerica.com/kentucky/land-for-sale/1578-acres-in-Mason-County-Kentucky/id/875998 At $20 a person (not including taxes on what was actually reported) it would take a long time accumulate those kind of funds. But on the other hand, that link above does say the owner was planning to retire. A cool 3 mill would be a nice way to retire! Ha Best of luck to Duke!
  7. Yea, I remember when it was sold before. From a financial aspect, it probably made the most sense to sell it. That's over 2,000 acres along the Ohio River. I'm sure he wasn't making much if any money. Best of luck to Duke. I always enjoyed going to Big Rock.
  8. For real??? I was just there a couple months ago!
  9. I used to race with Wolfe Bros about 10 years ago. Good times.
  10. I can't wait to get my bike done! I'm sure we'll plan a spring trip to Badlands and I'll be sure to be at this one. Anyone have pics from the trip? I have some good memories of past HQ trips to Badlands!
  11. I'm in need of one case bolt for hole #13. I really don't want to go to a hardware store and get a mismatch bolt so I'm hoping someone on here has one laying around. Let me know. Thanks! Jason
  12. I need to look for a place like that here locally. I figure black is a common color.
  13. I have always left the cases raw in the past, but for this build the entire bike and every accessory will be black.
  14. What should I expect to pay for powder coating? Never really thought about that since I always do things myself.
  15. It’s time for me to paint my cases. One thing is for sure, I don’t want a rattle can paint job. My brother is an automotive painter and I could get the paint from him to do it in automotive paint, but I’m thinking I want to do something a little easier to touch up if I needed to. When I used to build trucks we used to use a product called POR15 on the frame. I’m thinking about using this on the cases. Has anyone done this? If so, what were the results? I’m going black. I’m thinking gloss for the cases.
  16. Are these 8" filters and do you know if they'll fit 35mm PWKs?
  17. Okay, that's what I thought. Thanks man!
