  1. I need to really pull this together and get ready for this trip! runDMC do yo still plan to ride up with me? After talking to you this weekend I didn't know if driving to Cincinnati would benefit you since it would add that much more time to your trip. You're welcome to so just let me know. What about flags, don't you have to have a specific height?
  2. What was wrong with jugriggs' bike? I felt bad for him, looked like he was having a lot of problems. Actually, a lot of us were working through some bugs! My axle nut came loose as did both axle hub nuts. CB6979's aluminum carrier got totally screwed up, I saw two chains come off and makemefaster was having a stator issue....
  3. Love the video man. My buddy has a GOPRO too, they shoot amazing even with all the bouncing around.
  4. Gary your bike is fast man! You did have somewhat of an advantage in that your 4snows were hooking like you were on asphalt. Have you ran dirt tires out there and if so how much of a difference did it make? I saw you and the 450 with Dave5.0 running them and both you guys were wheelieing everywhere. I'm going to run pro wedges or 4snows next time out there for sure. It seems to be the best tire to use out there. The "track" was very dangerous in that it was like racing on a whoops section of an MX track. I hit a whoop near the end with 5th gear pinned and about put it on the grab bar. Toward the end of the race it was about who had the biggest balls to stay in the throttle! I'd really like to see them come in and grade the entire place once in a while. The "whoops" were bad throughout the entire park! It's a great place to test your suspension! I had a good time! It was a great first trip on my new motor and it ran good. I did find out that my new axle is bent and my jetting is pretty fat (168main) on the main. Jeff also suggested I change my CEL needles to a CEK to help me dial in the low end more.
  5. Here's a video CB6979 put together. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ufbgyym1PoQ
  6. I don't know but those bikes sure were F.A.S.T.! We WILL be in Oklahoma for sure. We need to plan this out!
  7. I thought your video skills are fine! Thanks for posting them!
  8. Mike (RunDMC) took off first on the white bike. Then at 0:11 me and Mike (MikeNick) were racing. I took off and didn't see him anymore. After watching the video I was wondering why he didn't finish the race. We both took off at the same time then he stopped. Wondered if he missed a shift or what...
  9. What happened in this race at 0:11 Mike??
  10. Did anyone else thing the turnout was about half of what we were expecting? Where was everyone?
  11. Good videos. I like the last one!
  12. Had a great time. I'm paying for it now, pretty sore! Definitely a good way to kick off the riding season! This was the first time I really got to run my new motor for more than a few minutes. It ran good but I still want to fine tune the jetting a little. I only took a few pictures in the parking lot but CB6979 has a lot and is making some videos as well. We'll get them posted asap. It was nice ripping through the trails with everyone! Time to get prepped for Silver Lake!
  13. I've got 8 banshees and 2 blasters in my group! We'll be there around open. Don't take the group photo without us!!! ANYONE READY TO RIDE???
  14. It's okay man, it's going to rain today but be bright and sunny with a 0% chance of rain tomorrow and partly cloudly with temps in the upper 50s to lower 60s on Saturday with a 0% chance of rain. I'm looking at the updated forecast right now on the Weather Channels Blackberry application and it actually says 0% chance of rain on Friday and Saturday. It's all good. Rain today will actually help settle the dust for us.
  15. You can get a flag at Badlands. You could also get a flag at walmart by the bikes. Some of us did that last year. We are going to take 75 to 70. I'm meeting up with some of my group off the franklin exit off of 75 at the wendys at 6am. We're leaving there to go straight to Badlands. You're welcome to join our convoy.
  16. Yea, as long as it's not draining fast, just keep an eye on it and maybe bring an extra quart of oil just in case. As far as swapping seals, I believe (it's been a while) that you'll have to take off both the stator cover and clutch cover. You'll have to pull the shift shaft out to gain access to the bushing/seal. I don't believe it's a split the cases job or even a pull the motor off the frame job. It shouldn't take more than 4 hours max if you're taking your time. Someone correct me if I'm wrong as it's been a while since I have been in there.
  17. Who's bring a monster bike?
  18. Yea, just pull in and kinda head to the back right portion of the parking lot. Basically just look for all the Banshees. Don't worry about not knowing anyone. This is how most of us met last year. It's a blast, you'll love it!
  19. You mean you don't want to get in on this fun?!?!?!?!?!?
  20. Well, I think you should bring them just in case. That place is almost all sand and you may get the urge to put them on just to cruise around with. As for racing, paddles would give you a huge advantage. It's not about the power, it's about getting to the sand covered ground. My fast trekkers were hooking really good last year and I was beating some ported and very fast bikes with my stock bike. But when you're racing 10 wide, who's really keeping track of the winner. LOL
  21. Na, you'll be fine man! You bringing the paddles? We're leaving my house at 5:30am! You could just come over Friday after work and crash here! Bring your bike to work and I could come get it from your truck on my way home from work....
  22. Got my bike all ready for the trip! It's dialed in, polished and cleaned up and ready to roll! I've been watching the forecast. So far it's supposed to be in the 50s and very slight (10%) chance of precipitation.
  23. If the weather is good and all the people show that say they are, we're going to fill that place up! I got my bike dialed in and ready to rock!
  24. Hey man thanks a lot for the help! It's always nice when someone chimes in with a no bull and to the point answer! So I'll get out there and back the air screws off 1/2 turn at a time. I'm also going to raise the clip one notch to lean out the mids a tad.
  25. Well, the bike is definitely fixed!!! It's running better than it EVER has! The plug caps did the trick. It's running like a scalded dog. For the first time I actually got to feel the power of this F.A.S.T. motor and it's crazy. Can't wait for Badlands now....
