  1. You get one installed yet? Looking forward to seeing the pix. You mentioned A arms. I'm in no hurry to get mine and I feel like my bike is lacking with JDS customs parts so if you do some +2+1 A arms hit me up! Maybe my new bike will make your advertisement banner too. ha (For those who don't know, the blue bike with the dice grille in JD's sig is my last bike).
  2. Dave I'll throw them in the trash pile along with my fender remains.
  3. I think you're right. That is probably what the seller says the previous owner rode it on asphalt and some sand. LOL They are pretty mint, but I'm with everyone else, 11k is nuts. I'm sure the "winner" won't pay up, they are probably just trying to see how high the reserve is.
  4. I noticed neither Banshee or the Blaster has stock heel guards and the plastic pieces. When did Yamaha start putting them on?
  5. I thought this was a pretty cool find. Bid is at $11,000 which I'd never pay, but it's still cool to see. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pair-of-vintage-Yamaha-ATVs-His-Hers-1987-Banshee-1988-Blaster-RARE-WOW-/161204529976?forcerrptr=true&hash=item258889eb38&item=161204529976&pt=ATVs
  6. I'm definitely planning on it. I'll have a full set of front/back paddles by then.
  7. It's 100hp cub with a +4 swinger. I was actually looking at some 10 paddles, but I don't know jack about sand because I've never riden in it. How important are front sand tires? I've ridden in pea gravelish sand at Badlands and my front 19x6x10 Holeshot MXs were cutting in real bad almost to the point where it was annoying.
  8. I've never rode in sand and want to make this trip. So does one of my buddies. Neither of us have paddles yet. What should we go with? He has a 70hp dune ported stock stroke and I have a 100hp 421 cub.
  9. Who else? What about food? Do you guys want to try to do a lunch? I'm all about eating. ha
  10. I didn't realize Jeff sold the ARP fasteners. I thought he just had the extended PD studs. I have a Noss head so I just needed stock length. I found them on his site so I just sent him an email to order the studs from him. That's easier than trying to piece it together and since he's doing my motor right now I'll just see if he can ship them with the motor.
  11. What are the stock specs on head nuts and studs? Isn't the thread size M8 x 1.25? I've built hot rods in the past and am very familiar with ARP fasteners. Looking to get these for my motor. http://www.jegs.com/i/ARP/070/300-8311/10002/-1 For less than $40 shipped, you can't beat that. Just need to get the stud specs so I can get those too. They even sell kits like this if I can find the right sizes. http://www.jegs.com/i/ARP/070/400-8024/10002/-1 I live really close to Jegs so I may just head up and see what they have to offer.
  12. That's what I'm thinking. I can't believe I've never removed them on any Banshee I've owned. LOL
  13. Banshees come with these metal guards on the inside and outside of the front brakes. They are made of thin metal and have holes all over them. The inside one makes changing the brake pads a real pain. The one on the outside can easily be removed by just pulling the wheel off then pulling it off. The inside one looks like it's a little more difficult to get to, but shouldn't be too bad. Do you run yours? It looks like they are designed to keep sticks and stuff out of the brakes, but I don't care about that so I'm thinking I may remove them. Any pros or cons of removing them other than the obvious (lighter and looks better)? I'm talking about part 18/19 here And Part 16 here

  16. Sounds good man. I've never been to St. Joe. I'll have to look into it and see if it's close enough to make the trip.
  17. Yea, I can solder. I'm sure I can figure our wiring too. PM me with what you are trying to do and we'll see what we can do.
  18. On your RZR! See you there! ha I you need a hand let me know. I'm only 30 minutes from you.
  19. So is May 3rd the rain/bad weather date or a second ride date or both? Looking at the schedule, I assumed May 3rd was a totally separate ride. For me, I’ll make one or the other, but I won’t be able to make both dates so I’m going to shoot for April 19th and have May 3rd as my backup plan. If the weather holds and April 19th happens then I won’t be at the May 3rd ride. --- Updated Confirmed 1. JasonsBanshee and wife 2. CB6979 3. WINDYCITYJOHN400 (Wes, Bill and Chris) 4. 20. Ah okay. Get one together! We've got 3 months. I'm in the same boat right now, but I'll have mine ready. Here's how she sits today. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  21. I know it's early, but planning these rides out early in the past has yielded great turn outs. WINDYCITYJOHN400 has the date set for April 19th. Historically speaking, this date is hit or miss with weather, but I'm optimistic and feel that this is late enough in the spring to give us a good chance for decent weather. Badland's hours are 9-5. I normally get to the gates around 8:15-8:30 because the lines can get long. We normally park due west of the track. I've heard they took out the track, but this map shows where we've parked in the past which seemed to work out well. Let's plan on parking there. When you get there, get your bike unloaded and we'll do a group picture around 9:30. The group picture has been pretty sweet in the past. Here's one I have. Also, in the past we have tried to bring food/snacks. It really hasn't worked out, but do we want to plan a lunch? I vote yes, but if it's a bad idea feel free to shoot it down. I think we should plan to eat around 12:30 in the parking lot. It doesn't need to be very organized, just bring a drink for yourself and something to throw into a pot luck stlye lunch. So lets start a roll call. Copy/paste the confirmed list to keep the list up to date. I'm looking forward to the season and getting to ride with everyone in 2014! Badlands Off Road Park 3968 County Road 30 E, Attica, IN 47918 (866) 762-2981 *Flags are required! Sparkies are NOT required. Sound isn't an issue. http://www.badlandsoffroad.com --- Confirmed 1.JasonsBanshee and wife
  22. I am going to start a roll call thread for the first Badlands trip. Hope to see everyone there!
