I'm sure this has been talked about before but really could not find anything on the subject. Is there any real way to refinish plastics. Wet sanding, Buffing? What works the best?

Thanks on the info guy's! I started thinkin untill the rings seat it will smoke. I will go over all the head bolts after a couple cycles. Thanks Larry. I'm stoked! When it started it was music to my ears. All that work and it didnt blow up. YET.

I started up my quad today for the first time on a fresh topend. Prior to this, the quad was in boxes so I pretty much started from scratch. Once I got some fuel flowing and with the choke it started up sluggishly on one cylinder but once it started running with a little trottle both cylinder were firing. I let it warm up a little and hit the trottle a few times and its great and responsive. But its smokin like a bitch. I dont remember any of my other 2 strokes smokin this bad on start up. Could it be from the oil I used to lube the cylinders with? I might have overdone it a little. I was not able to ride it because I had to go to work. Is this normal on start up? I would appreicate any info.

Wow I didn't know they were still made. Thanks for the info. Ur right about the 4 strokes thou. I traded in my 250r and tecate for a 4 stroke. But I realized that I missed the 2 strokes and got the shee. Thanks again.

Wikipedia state's that the Banshee's production ended in this country in 2006 and in canada in 2008. Now whats with these guy's from South America stating that they have a 2010 or 2011? Just curious. Plus what was the demise of the Banshee and 2 strokes in general. Emissions?

U say your racing GNCC and like trail riding, why would you want to go 100MPH? You want your low and mid range power to be strong. If you could get 100 MPH in a field, I'd watch out for ground hog holes.

I have both but only use the Clymers really. Sometimes look in the Haynes. Somebody gave me the Haynes for nothing. Both helpfull. Haynes is cheaper I think.

He has the 2 into 1. I think if you had an air leak it would rev to high. Dont get rid of it! Go back to dual carbs.

Def pull the carbs apart. The old fuel gotta get cleaned out.

I always ran 32:1 with the Klotz. Thats the norm i guess. Your giving plenty of lubrication. But Everybody has there way of running there fuel. I barley burn up plugs. Like toytech said do a compression check. Welcome to BHQ.

I'm no expert when it comes to jetting I Think am about 400 ft above sea level. Your mains seem small to me. Im running a 290 main and a 30 pilot. Needle in the middle. 2 and half turns out on my fuel/air screws. Full FMF pipes. Port job and K&N no lid. Dont know if it will help.

Why is Kero hard to find? Were do you live? Plus I've seen O-ring chains go for 13 bucks on amazon. Not saying it will last. U could use diesel or break cleaner. Hit it with some scotch bright pads too if you to take the rust off.
