yup my cub gets the same wear with about the same run time

yes ill def be plug chopping. jeff at fast told me he would def run an 8 inch over a six inch pod anyday for any drag ported cub so when my 6 inch ripped i upped the size.

hey guys i recently ripped one of my 6 inch pods so bought some 8 inch ones to replace them. has anyone ever done this upgrade and ave to rejet because of the larger filter? heres my mods. 421 drag ported cub, 35mm carbs, inframe shearers, +4 timing, vforce 4's, fast clutch, 4mil hot rods pretty sure it has 160 mains with 30 pilots at about sea level. any input is appreciated

nice clean up job, check squish and do a leakdown test.

def do a leak test before riding it any longer.

im running same domes and elevation as you with a similar setup on 91 pump with 140 psi compression. squish is .053

pretty sure bumping you timing up will only make your high compression worse. what is your current squish??

just a reference for you i run a 421 cub with .053 squish, 24cc domes, +4 timing, on 91 pump

the snap on i used actually didnt even thread in as far as my craftsman, the craftsman couldnt even give me the same reading after many tests, the snap on was the same everytime.
