  1. i do trails, and some small jumps. if you tell JL you want a MX swinger they are pretty beefy. and im 205
  2. the science behind it is that compression from the cylinder causes excess pressure in the cooling system. but that would cause you to loose coolant, not necessarily have a leak.
  3. spark plugs wont tell you much until you run the mix you plan on actually using and do a WOT pull.
  4. i got mine from JL for pretty cheap. and it has held up great.
  5. once you open it, it isnt 2 years. the more air that gets locked in the drum, the more of a chance moisture will be mixed in. I deal with it and alky all the time. plus MS109.
  6. on top of a patient is only good for the countries you register it for. because you have a US patient doesnt mean a canadian cant copy it, etc. China doesnt give any fucks about it though.
  7. idk i havent had those pins for a long time.
  8. he is meaning that might be why its breaking up, the parking brake limits spark, similar to the tors system, and so it may think the parking brake is engaged causing your issue. i have pods on my pwk28's and no issues, i would assume its the same with the stockers.
  9. no the overflow tank has a vent in the top. so it would just push out the overflow in the back. any chance of showing some pictures of where the leak is etc?
  10. if you have the hose on there, there should be no reason for it to leak past. even a bad cap would push fluid out the overflow, which should end up in the recovery tank. not as a leak.
  11. yes, unless the impeller is OEM plastic and melted to the point it spins on the shaft. but for the most part yes, fluid should be flowing through. If you are running the reservoir in the back, that means you have a hose between the overflow and the bottom of the reservoir tank correct? if so, would shouldnt have any leak in the front since all that fluid should be going to the tank.
  12. anything under pressure will take the easiest way out. Most likely the loose hose clamp. which would cause you to loose fluid, and gain air when it cools down. do you have fluid coming out the overflow tube? Do you have a hose hooked up to that? are you running a expansion tank?
  13. eliminate the TORS. they make a kit. TORS are nothing but a headache. The kit is fairly cheap. I hate the OEM carbs, and put PWK28's on mine. much happier that way.
  14. could be a crank seal leak allowing trans fluid in. you gapped your stator pickup and your plugs correct?
  15. it would allow in, because as the motor builds heat the pressure would push coolant out. that wouldnt have anything to do with leaking at the top of the radiator though.
  16. i have had the shift shaft seal fail on an older motor.
  17. Is it trans oil, or is it fuel? If the carbs overflow there is a drain in the middle of the cases
  18. Yamalube sucks. I like klotz supertecnaplate or however you spell it. I run 32:1 I have ran 40:1 but been running 32 since my friends 250r is the same fuel then.
  19. Could be pilot jet size
  20. I have the older plain white and when i think of red hood and tank I think of like the bright red ones that turn the whole tank red
  21. im interested in trading the shocks for plastics. I have some OEM white plastics, full fender not cut, and i think i have a red hook and grill, IIRC the red grill isnt in great shape, i do have a black hood and grill that is in good shape. If interested i can take some pictures this weekend. Some pictures of the shocks would be great so i can see if im interested.
  22. bottom end will fall off some, top end will gain some.
  23. how big can you go before you have wall thickness issues?
  24. yea i have a long rod. didnt know they made one size bigger, i thought i was as big as i can go.
  25. i have a stock cylinder 4 mil with 66 bore. no issues. its not that the walls are too thin, its the fact they dont make a piston for any bigger of a bore. if i melt mine down, i am gonna look into nic plating the cylinders to give them life again, unless there is a smoking deal on aftermarket.
