you dont have to widen the rear right off the bat. i would rather widen with an axle than wheels or spacers.
-
you just have to get the front tires infront of the wheel wells. i can fit my widened one between the wheel wells on my chevy.

Am I Shutting Banshee Off Correctly??
ginger replied to Baileycakes's topic in General Banshee Discussion
the biggest key is if you are storing it for a while to use gas without ethanol. -
maybe. i could never go back to stock arms.
-
well you either have carbs not synced or an air leak on one side.
-
you arent getting to 405cc on stock cylinders and stock stroke, unless someone put some monster sleeves in the cylinders.
-
what does +2+1 a arms have to do with transporting it?
-
carbs probably are not synced
-
i was asking him if it was a oem or aftermarket that he had on there.

At $700 a set, are toomey t5's overrated?

there are wayy better pipes out there. you are paying for a name, not performance. -
i know, any 4 wheeler its pretty easy. but atleast this makes them work for it a little because its not obvious where it is at lol. A bunch of my buddies couldnt take mine for a ride because they didnt know where the key was lol.
-
hide a key is basicalyl a bracket that moves your ignition key from the handle bars to the back of the gas tank under the seat. that way people cant find it as easily. i got one after someone smashed my old banshee's key, and hot wired it and stole it.
-
other downsides with the SS is they are pricey. dont think you have to have beadlocks. This is what i have on my fronts and they are cheap. http://www.motosport.com/rock-aluminum-wheel just not as strong as a beadlock. but for most people thats strong enough. also may i suggest a Hide a key bracket to move the key under the seat.
-
front rims are almost always 10in so yes, you just have to make sure your rear wheels are 9" diameter and they will swap over as well.
-
i have the beadlocks on the rear, they are great. i also have ITP just simple polished wheels and they are great as well. My fronts are cheap ROCK brand, and seem to hold up well.

Correct place to post, new rider, jetting
ginger replied to jjurado's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
it all depends on the porting. If you go to a good reputable guy, like a forum sponsor, he will port it, find out all of your mods, and get you in the ballpark jetting. Personally i would run pro circuts before toomey pipes. your riding around your farm you said right? so its like myself. I have SLP pipes, the bottom and mid range is outrageous. if you like to keep it more on the higher RPM, some CPI or something similar is a good pipe, but you will loose bottom end. First step is where you want the power, then figure out pipes, then get the porting made to match those pipes. -

i recently switched to pods myself, much easier then dealing with the airbox. you cant gain a ton of power without tearing into the motor on these. porting, and compression, with pipes that match will be a big difference. -
runs great, just sucks if you forget lol.
-
i had a similar issue and it was the fact i didnt shake my tank before i rode, the oil sank to the bottom of the tank and wouldnt let it run right.

if they sit for a while with meth, they get eaten up. alky is caustic when it sits. it will eat up raw aluminum. it can also gum up into a jelly if it gets enough moisture in it.
-
i never hurts to re check to make sure they still car synced remember you want to have it where you need the choke on to get it to fire.
-
if thats the case you probably need to rejet as pods allow a lot more air in then the airbox.
-
did you remove the brains of the TORS system? IF so then it may need a bigger pilot due to the pods. but if you didnt, the TORS system is cutting out your spark.
-
did you leak down test it after putting all the seals in the motor? you might have an air leak. you lost compression on both cylinders or just one? rather than listen to your mechanic, you should take the advice from here. its not complicated, and if you spend a few bucks on testers, like the leak down tester, it will save you more money in the long run.

check Mcmaster carr, im sure they have one the right size.
