  1. I was at the dunes yesterday riding around and I decided to launch it in second and something broke. At first I thought I stripped teeth off the sprockets or had a loose chain. All the teeth were good. I started it up first gear was good and as soon as I hit second it locked up and sounded like something inside broke or I bent shift forks or something. So I think I am going to need some tranny work. My current setup. 4 mill crank and 68mm cub cylinder ported by HJR. 17 cc domes + 4 timing 35 carbs and a lock out clutch. I mostly dune and to steep hill climbs through the trees and some drag racing. What kind of trans would be best?
  2. I got a aggressive dune/drag port and he ported my case to match my cub cylinder. It was a huge improvement over the un ported cub cylinder. I love it!
  3. I just wanted to give a shout out to Kevin at HJR for his port work on my cub cylinder. Good customer service and he answered all my questions. All I have to say is I am impressed. The bike flat out rips. Thanks Kevin
  4. Must be the air over there.
  5. Where Can I buy a carb sinc tool/gauge? Thanks
  6. Hi guys, I have a 4 mill 421 cub motor 17cc domes and v-force 3 reeds with 39pwk carbs. I want to get the cub cylinder ported when I replace the top end. I was wanting to know the best all around porting for these cylinders? I usually just do tree shots and friendly drag racing here and there and there. Any suggestions? Thanks
  7. I have a 4mill 421 cub with 39 pwks and 17cc domes. I run a 45 pilot and a 155 main and it runs great on the Oregon coast. I use a 40:1 mixture with VP racing c12 fuel. Its a little rich but runs good.
  8. Thanks for the input guys. I ended up buying a 4 mill cub set up form a site member. I stuffed it in the frame last and fired her up today.
  9. I have a brand new one from modquad. Its all chrome. Its still in the package. $650. I decided that I am going to a 8 inch Thanks
  10. I am new to the banshees but not to the sand sport. I mainly ride a CRF 450 that has been my dune machine. I have some questions about some motor set ups for the Oregon coast dunes. What motors are people using? My current set up is a 2000 banshee with a .30 over ported stock stroke 350 with reeds and cpi inframe pipes and +4 on the flywheel. I was impressed with the power it had. It was hanging with my biddies 4mill in his banshee. I just stuck a piston on the right side and I am looking at putting together a motor that can be competitive at playful dragging, dune riding and what they call idiot hole/tree shots witch was one of my main reasons why I got a banshee because its pretty hard to come out of a tree shot with a CRF but has been done on some of them. I was lurking around and did some searching about motors and I was very interested in the 4mill serval motor. What would be the best setup to run with this motor? My cpi pipes are fairly new and want to keep them. I have not clue what size the carbs are but was planning on getting some new ones. Is this a good motor for what I want to do or do I need something a little more? Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks ~Colin
