  1. I have my factory switch clamped on the frame rail right in front of the pipe.
  2. I have a 152 main and 45 pilot on my ported 421 cub with 35 pwk and I ride it sea level.
  3. I was a 48 pilot and still was rich on my cub. I changed to a 45 pilot and it cleared up my low end bog I was having.
  4. Your exactly right. I could go leaner if I wanted to but I am going to stay right where I am at with my jetting. If I change anything I night lean out my needle one notch or drop the Main to a 150. My plugs are a little on the dark side.
  5. I don't have strait cuts on my ported 421 cub but i I have 13/44 and spin 22.11.8 10 paddle haulers. It's low geared for sure but I like the wheel spin when I get in to a steep tree shot with soft sand.
  6. I had a buddy that ran av gas and always cracked is reeds.
  7. Haulers all the way.
  8. I had a problem with my bike bogging on a 2nd gear launch. My motor is almost similler except domes, pipes, porting, jetting swinger length and paddles. I had the main jet and needdle tuned on a dyno and I fine tuned the pilot when I was over at the coast where I ride. I am at 152 main, 45 pilot and cel on the middle clip. I was at a 50 pilot when I was bogging trying to launch in second and I went down to a 48 and Now i am at a 45p. She launches good in second now with no bog. I have 13/44 and 22.11.8 10 paddles extremes. I think I can gain more if a mess with my lockout. Just trying to figure out what to use for weights. My 421 seemed to like leaner jetting with porting and different intakes. Maybe try dropping down in pilots?
  9. How do you like the snipers?
  10. I have a ported 421 with 35 PWK carbs. 19 cc domes, vf3, and CPI in frames. My pilot is a 48. I have my cel needle 2nd clip from the top and 152 mains. I have my timing set at+5. I am at sea level on the Oregon coast. I used to burn VP c-12 witch is 108 octane and now I stick with 110. I personally would stay away from avgas. Just my opinion.
  11. I wasn't trying to argue about anything. Big deal if the post was 5 years ago. Someone might find the information helpful.
  12. I might be able to make that weekend and race as well.
  13. I also have a + 6 swinger
  14. I have a ported 421 cub and I am using a 13 tooth on the front and a 44 tooth on the rear spinning 22.11.8 10 paddle extremes. It's a little low geared but I like to have the wheel spin when I do tree shots.
  15. Going to hit the dunes this weekend. 15th,16th and the 17th. Camping at the myrtlewood factory. Going to be hill climbing, dunning and dragging. Hit me up if your interested.
  16. I wouldn't have done it myself but it worked and it was quick. He just used a 1/8" drill bit and punched it free. He is still dunning the motor with no leaks and no troubles.
  17. I have a 13/44 setup on my bike. Some of those tree shots are steep with soft sand and need all the wheel spin you can .
  18. It is. I forget the actual ratio but its in the 3's it works best for my type of riding. I mostly play in the steep hill climbs. I might change the front tooth up one.
  19. I have never been sound checked on the oregon dunes since I started riding there back when I was 13. I'm 33 now. I'm guess I am just lucky. Most of the time I got nailed was for missing flags that broke going through the trees on my dirtbikes or banshee and I did get checked for the atv card. Just another way to make money.
  20. I wish I could but I'm working. Going the following weekend to hauser. Staging at the merytelwood factory.
  21. I use my 421 cub for drag, trails and mostly hill climbs, I have 19cc domes, 35pwk, 152 main, 48 pilot and needle on the 4th clip. It's has the aggressive port job from HJR and a lock out clutch on a modified stock tranny. +7 on timming and burning 110 octane. I made 96 hp on redlines dyno. I have had zero problems running on the trails. I run a 12 front sprocket and a 43 rear and 22.11.8 10 paddles. It had good wheel spin when I need it in the soft and steep hill climbs and enough gear without winding out in the drags.
  22. I had a problem finding o rings for my lock out cover so I went to a hydraulic shop and got some. It was kind of a guessing game to witch one was the correct length so I just got the biggest one and cut it in half. I just made sure that the splice was at the top of the cover and put a dab of super glue on it. 2 years and no leaks.
  23. Just curious on what people have there ride height set up at? I only ride the dunes and my suspension set up includes elka dune editions up front with lonestar +2 wider +1 forward. The rear is stock shock and a 6 inch swinger. I currently have mine setup 1" higher in the rear. Is there any gain in handaling if you go more in the rear then the front or vise versa?
  24. Nice. We are planing a dunes trip to Hauser on March 15,16,17. I am going Friday after work or Leave Saturday morning. Let me know if you want to go play.
