  2. i am 1400' with 19cc running race gas. I had them cut by m&m. running around 170psi. I know every setup is different but maybe this will help.
  3. I started with a yfz at the dunes, sold it now rolling banshee. You cant beat the raw power of the banshee. The yfz is track ready and is a new age bike. The banshee is a statement of old school muscle and power. Opinions are all in the beholder...

  5. cut and grind extra brackets not needed on the frame, make it look smooth. Also we need pics.....
  6. yeah you can do it, I just did mine on a bench grinder. Just taking off the edges, it doesn't take long at all.

  9. i didn't do wot compression check. So i did this morning and i got 170 on both cylinders but the motor was cold. I still couldnt get it to crank. So i took the carbs off and there was trash in the carbs. So i have them soaking again. Hopefully I can get them cleaned and try again. If i have compression is that a good sign motor is right, just maybe having some major carb issues?
  10. I just finished my first build and did a 4mil dune ported. Once i got it all together, I did a leak down with no loss at all even after 20 minutes. Bolted up carbs 34mm pj, exhaust and other items...and it started on the third kick. It would only run while i was on the throttle, would left off occasionally to try to set the idle. When I would idle down the motor made some noise. Idle up it go away. When then all of a sudden it died and wouldn't start back up. First thing i noticed the fuel was coming out of one of the carbs, which made me believe the float was stuck. Then i went ahead and did a compression check. I got 170 on one, and 160 in the other. The spark plug on the 170 side was a little lighter tan, and the 160 side was pretty brown. Does anybody have any idea, why it wont crank and how much issue is having different compression numbers.   11. i got all these parts done for 350. and they had to cook it twice, once for color then got him to put a coat of clear over it.

  13. i do have a coolhead, are you talking about the lil o-rings that are around each head studs?
  14. I have been chasing a leak and cant find it. Just got through putting my 4mil togethor, and ran the test only to lose all six pounds in about 3 mins. I have sprayed everything visible and no bubbles. I decided to spray around the radiator and i have bubbles coming out around it. What does that mean? Does it mean the head seals are on wrong? I am not suppose to block the radiator lines am i? help would be appreciated before i do a complete tear down.

  20. I would try to find a front/back complete set of paddles. They are all over craigs for cheap, and alot of times if they are selling paddles they will have a flag around you can score for free.
