  1. I would also take a close look at the reeds, If it still backfires through the carbs after the coolant problem is fixed.Maybe check the Timing.
  2. Anybody run the q2 emulsion tubes?
  3. Do you idle a lot? If your trying to fix the dying at wide open,i would Iook closer at the main.
  4. I just picked up a 421 cub with 34 mikuni Tms carbs.I need new needles so while it was apart i checked the dump tubes.it has the Q2 .... i have read that i need a q0. I'm not real familiar with mikunies. Just wanting to see what's working for others with this carb. I'm running CPI in frames.
  5. Check to see if its eating coolant.
  6. If you turn the sheets upside down the engine will breath better.i guaranty it or your money back
  7. Fuel pouring out exhaust,..Thats why they have a petcock..
  8. With your type of riding you will benefit dropping to stock gearing.stock gearing and 20 inch tires should net you in the mid 70s mph.I hope thats enough speed to get away from those pesky cops
  9. Yeah, dont compare a banshee with carb issues and the worst pipes on the market to banshees in general. If you had a chance to ride one properly set up you would probably never throw your leg over the suzuki again. Oh and my bike is much smoother riding in the dunes then any of my friends 450s.
  10. i would go between .15 and .18. .20 is to wide imo.Oh and check the gap at both square tabs on the flywheel i have seen some variance in different flywheels.
  11. i dont know if you have pulled the fly wheel yet,but you should check your pick up coil gap.i think its around .018 if i remember right.my gap was to big and my bike would not spark unless you pull started it.
  12. if it is sheered off, wouldnt that mean the outer race spun in the case's? if the outer race is spinning then i would replce the bearing.
  13. Once you remove the nut,you will not need it again until you put the flywheel back on.The correct puller threads into the flywheel in reverse. So lube the threads and install the puller in as far as you can with a cresant or channel locks or you could pull the threads out.Once installed i use a impact so no need for a holder.
  14. Im currently running uni's and have zero problems.i ride on sand most of the time and clean just as often as i did with the k&n's.
  15. you tried to tell the guy,if he wont listen let him buy those cub cylinders...or are they twister ..
  16. LOL.I just said the exact same thing.
  17. Bigger pilots worked,I went up to 50s and it starts right up.
  18. Im going riding this weekend if i destroy my motor i will take some pics just for you.
  19. if your not into all top end power like drag racing i would stick with what you got.my 4 mill made 74hp on stock carbs and the throttle response was great.I switched up to pwk 33s and can feel a little gain on top but the bottom end lags.
  20. Is the trans full of fluid? if it locks up in one gear and frees up in a different gear your gonna have to split it.Its more than likely has some teeth broke off some gears.
  21. If your idle is set to low it will make alot of noises coming from the trans area, yours sounds completely normal.
  22. i have pwk 28s
