Sounds like stock carbs will be fine for your riding style... bigger carb= more top end with less throttle response... .. with your riding style you will want low to mid range so any number of pipes will work for you.. PT mid revs are a good pipe.. I have heard a lot of good about the dmc's but have never ran them..
  2. They worked good for me...made 70 hp with stock carbs.great throttle response.
  3. I ran some on a 4 mill build a while back...I would run them again on a smaller motor...
  4. IMO....... stock rods seem to be pretty strong.. but anything is subject to failure when its pushed beyond its limits... like extreme compression ratios or bad tuning and maintenance.

A#19:The voltage regulator is a small, square, silver box with a single (usually blue) wire coming out of it leading to the wiring harness. It is mounted just to the right-hand side of the CDI under the rear fender, and typically one of the 12mm mounting bolts has an eyelet terminal with a black ground wire going to the wiring harness. The voltage regulator is NOT part of the ignition system, but part of the lighting system. It's purpose is to regulate voltage (you don't say) to the lights, preventing them from blowing because of too much voltage. The voltage regulator on a Banshee limits voltage to 12 volts no matter what RPM the motor is at, since the higher the RPM the more voltage the stator will produce, the voltage regulator prevents the voltage at the light bulbs (and the wiring harness leading to the light bulbs) from exceeding 12 volts. As you've no doubt witnessed, at idle or low RPM, the stator's ignition coil does not produce much voltage, as the lights are real dim. When you wind it out they light up pretty well, but if it wasn't for the voltage regulator they would burn out quickly from the higher voltage.   10. Good logic...it ran one time before, why didn't I think of that.....friend of mine wouldn't pay for a bike I sold him so I bugged it.. He still hasn't got it running and wants me to look at it...that bike ran perfect till I touched it.....
  11. look at his other thread, it's like a couple down from this one...Op.. Dude you have access to diagrams.. You can't open your eyes and look for the matching colors then use common since and see where they go..your problem is you have no electrical system to repair... You would be better off finding a good used harness..and cdi.

  13. I think you done everything half assed and that caused extra problems wich then equated to more money... I have put together 70+ hp banshees for around a grand....To bad you spent all that money ....
  14. All the chamfer in the world won't help if the ring pops out due to the port being to wide....Not saying you will have an issue... Also depends on how the port is shaped to help the ring seat back in the groove.
  15. Im thinking ring snag on the exhaust port....Good luck and you get an A+ for effort.. I have ruined a couple sets of cylinders when I thought "the bigger the ports the better"....

  18. put both carbs back on and maybe you will see 70hp....
  19. Check the pistons and post the number up on hear... It will tell the bore size and piston pin location...I would be looking more at what beat the shit out the piston top that is in the pic you posted...could be detonation or maybe the pistons contacting the head.....

  21. C Cylinder pressure higher then what the sleeve can handle, distortion, poor heat transfer...
