  1. I'll take the gf over the 250 any day.
  2. They are a poor mans 250r. I have been able to find quite a few 700 dollar ones around me.
  3. The guys over at Sand Trax pull start every LT 500 that comes in...500 single with high compression FTS.
  4. All the ones that I have messed with would burn up at about 15 hours due to crank seals leaking around the cases. I have seen 3 different ones die from failed crank seals, One of those got a new crank twice. A friend of mine tried to convince me they could be better then a banshee if all the weak points were addressed. He also said in 88 or 89 they changed to a better frame with a power valve motor. P.S it sucked too.

  8. My stock cylinder made 70 hp on stock carbs and the throttle response was great. But the cub is going to want bigger carbs for sure.
  9. Are you asking about having it ported or doing it your self?
  10. Yeah, all you need to do is hog out the intake really big right?? I would drill holes all the way through the transfers and to the out side of the cylinder and add extra ports. You could use pvc or something. Who wants the first 20 port design?

  12. You should get a little more mph on top. What kind of power are you making and where do you plan on riding? what size rear tire?

  14. How's the clutch lever pull? Is it easy or hard to pull in? is the clutch lever stock?
  15. UNDER COVER LOCK UP maybe. I got a 421 cub and took it apart to see what goodies it had, everything was stock

  18. duel pingle, fmfs and cub... Maybe someone couldn't let go of their drag pipes when they sold it. You need some cpi or shear drag pipes,I want to try some rockets.Also that stock swinger will not work once you dicth the fmfs.
  19. People will do just about anything. Are you still running that way? Its like drag porting and running a 2 into 1 carb.
  20. On the outside of the cylinder their should be a 10 mm bolt to drain the coolant, If it has that it is more then likely a stock cylinder. Also cubs are mono block meaning 1 piece. stock cylinders separate, meaning they are 2 individual pieces.
  21. I really doubt it has a cub cylinder, giving that it has fmf pipes. Take a pic of the cylinder. drag style porting with fmfs don't go together.

  23. read your plugs and see how rich you are on jetting.
  24. 13 3/4 eye to eye. That's a stock rear.
  25. I can measure one when i get home be about half an hour. got one laying on the bench.
