  1. Im asking about the orange and balck wires from the harness. i didnt see any markings on the coil itself.
  2. I almost have my banshee ready to kick. im running the wireing harness. got everything hooked up except for the ignition coil. does it matter where the 2 wires from harness go. do they fire simultaneously like a GM coil or is there a specific setup?. Thanx for any and all info.
  3. this guy obviously has a HARD on for me. it was a legit post. its a part that looks out of place. its description as "pipe". I have no exsperince with a banshee and i have COMPLETELY stripped it down, Cleaned, Did the trans mods, rebuilt it and i have less than 40 post. 10 or so were in the sales forums and others were thanking u guys for ur help. that leaves 25 or less post to do a complete restoration. I mean Complete. Every bolt, seal, bearing, bushing has been replaced. If i ask a question its because i needed help. Get off ur HIGH banshee and give me a productive answer without B*#%^ing or dont share ur god like knowledge with me and move to the next Post!!! P.S. Other members thanked me for bring up that post because it helped them too.
  4. The motionpro cable should have rubber sleeves on it already. mine did and I just Slid them down to cover the threads down to the lock nut.
  5. when i got my shee it was stock with t5's at 650ft and it had 280 mains with stock pilots installed by a local yamaha dealer. i would start near there.
  6. Exactly what i was looking for. Ur answer tells me what it does and that i dont need it. Your the man!!!!
  7. I know stock rings dont work on wiesco 513's not sure about 795's
  8. Well I tahank everyone that helped including the guy with an atitude. I thought this site was here to help. The pic didnt help and the description didnt help. i would search banshee pipe but that didnt help either. It obviously helped more than just me. If u dont want to share ur knowldge. (Obviously gods gift to banshee parts and google) Than Move on and dont post. Just my thought on the bitching i have recieved.
  9. #10 is the actual guard. Im Thinking the gaurd rides on #42. Im not sure. Hopefully someone will no what it is
  10. I tore my banshee down to the last bolt. Itemized and bagged all the parts. I am now trying to rebuild the rear swing arm and put on a modquad 4 piece chain slider kit. Its not fitting right so i looked at the parts explosion in my climers and I noticed i am missing a piece. In the Diagram its #42. They are calling it a pipe. The pic isnt helping me but im assuming it centers the chain slider. My questions are.... What is it? What does it look like? AND Where can I buy one?
  11. Can the pilots be too big? Im gonna need to rejet my bike when its back together and the kit im looking to get has #30 pilots.
  12. I hit it with a short 3 lb hammer until flush. then got a long punch and drove it the rest of the way out. mushroomed the threads put got a new one on here for 20 shipped, just gotta look and ask for one
  13. Thanks for the info. I have a clymers so putting back together was pretty easy.
  14. I'm doing the trans mod where u grind the gears. On the gears with the outside tabs do I have to go all the way down or just down to the inner and outer ledges.
  15. Only issues I had during the tear down were the body bolts. Were rusted to the nuts and they use a phillips screw head. Dumb idea by yamaha. The swing arm bolt was seized and ruined when forced out.
  16. I ordered an adjustable timing plate on ebay about 2 wekks ago. Then i took the cover off the bike to put it in and the stator was trashed. i ordered a stator that comes with an adjustable plate. The one im selling was never used. I mounted it in the case once to see how it fits and adjust. never a stator mounted to it. Its a 6061 billet chariot model. they are going for 54 shipped on ebay from chariot.(what i paid) Im asking 45 shipped.
  17. Sucks 80 is as far as it goes. I just got the quad and decided to go through it and found a backwards piston and a broken ring with a gouge in the jug. 80 is where i have to bore to take out the gouge. I forgot to mention i alread got a chariot timing plate!!!
  18. Well turns out i have too bore my jugs. I dont want to make a ton of topics so i will be asking a ton of questions to save some space. I have to go .80 over and im getting a dune port with welds done by m&m atv. Can I run stock carbs? Can I run stock heads? What Jet should I start with when tuning it? (already have a 280 in it for the t5's) How many more bores can i get out of it? (If any after the port job) Is there anything im missing that i should be aware of. The stock parts are temperary until i can afford to replace them piece by piece. This is a new hobbie for me and didnt relize how exspensive it is. lol Thanks in advance for ant and all advice
  19. Mine was stuck last week so i put the air hammer to it and i got it out but still had to buy a new one. Good Luck
  20. Im guessing that ur rirght. Tht cyl has a nice gouge right above one of the exhaust ports.
  21. I mentioned before that i am trying to rescue a banshee. I have ben dissasembling it piece by piece. started on the motor yesterday. took head and jugs off. i noticed the pistons have arrows on them and they were facing oppisite ways. clymers said they were supposed to face the exhaust. I looked closer at the backwards piston and it has a chunk missing above the top ring. also seen the ring had a 1 inch gap. looked at the jug and there is a gouge. What i need is someone who can look at the jugs to see if its machineable. The engine has obviously been apart. Are the pistons in it stock bore or not? heres a pic can u tell by numbers on it? Thanx in advance.
  22. i Need a Stock stator for my 03 banshee.
  23. looks like a mod worth doing the only thing i didnt catch was how many are there to cut?
