What pilot jet do you recommend ? I forgot to add that my air screw is 1 1/2 turns out on both carbs

It has no mid or top end at all. I want to say my old banshee had 160 mains in it but I'm not positive. It also had the 34mm carbs. I think winter I am going to tear down the engine and rebuild everything I wouldn't mind getting s port job done too but in the mean time I just want to get this thing dialed in Update I just pulled the plugs out and they aren't black yet since they are new but have a bit of fuel on them. She definitely needs to be leaned out I'm just not sure which position to go with the clip or how many sizes to change on the main and pilot

I just bought another banshee after taking a break from riding for around 5 years. I still have all my old jets and tuning stuff anyway this banshee is all stock other than toomey t5 exhaust, cool head (unsure of which domes it has) boyesen reeds, and 34mm Keihin carbs. Brand new br8es plugs . I just put in a adjustable timing plate and set it at +4. It has 168 mains in it. I am at sea level. It runs real congested. Once I get into 3rd and 4th gear wide open it starts to clear out but once killed I have to do that all over. The clip was set at the second from the top groove. I have never ran pod filters before, this banshee has twin k&n pods and so far I'm not too sure I like them for th dusty and humid and wet climate we have here. I have a aluminum air box I want to install I just need to buy new shorter pod filters for it. Anyway what setting should I be using for my listed accessories? I'm kind of wondering if the carbs I have are too much for the stock unported jugs. What do you guys think? Thanks

Hey guys it's been 3 years or better since I've been on here and owned a banshee. I just picked up a 96 from a good friend of mine for a steal of a deal, $800, and it fired right up. Im looking for a few parts of you have hit me up with prices and PayPal info. I haven't torn into the engine yet but from what I can see is it has 34mm carbs, pro design cool head, vforce 4 reed valves, toomey t5 exhaust, adjustable timing plate, Hinson clutch within a couple of weeks I plan on tearing down the top end to see if it has been bored and ported. I just got it running today and I haven't ridden it yet. It's been sitting for many many years and I want to go they everything real good before I rip around on it anyway here is what I'm looking for at this moment I'm looking for pipe and silencer hangers. The oem rubber ones are about to brake in two Stock oem grille insert. Just the black mesh part is all I need, not feeling the chrome panty dropper insert A set of uni pod filters for 34mm carbs Some sort of aftermarket clutch lever, asv is a plus Pingle petcock Ez drain coolant cover As I dig into this engine I'm sure I will be thinking of more stuff I'm looking for. Man it feels good to be a banshee owner again.

rotax, thanks for your patience and your reply. Ive had several ppl interested in the engine and I have not heard back from them it is also listed on craigslist when I have a confirmed buyer on the engine I was planning on updating this post with pics and prices. As I listed in the post I was looking to see what kind of response I would get for buyers wanting a freshly built engine before I decided to part out the rest. -

Yes, the brake rezzie is all black. Im trying to sell the engine complete at first, if I part it out I will let you guys know. The heel guards I made myself Id like to get $55 shipped for them. They will come with the YFZ wide foot pegs because I fabbed them up to fit those pegs, not the stock ones. -
Thinking about parting out my bike. I have a complete running engine. coolhead, stock cylinders fresh, bored .60 over with a f.a.s.t duneport, 4 mil crank, , new wiseco pistons, dual pingle, adjustable timing plate, shift pro kit, cascade shift star, stock transmission in good shape, stock clutch assembly with driveline performance hd clutch plates and springs, pro circuit exhaust in good shape, trail tech lights, complete skid plates, 34mm PJ carbs, custom aluminum airbox with dual uni filters, -1" shifter, yfz 450 pegs, stock radiator. Ive had this bike for sale and have had alot of interest but mostly dead beats so I am looking into parting it out to see if it will be worth while getting rid of some good usable parts. Id like to sell the engine complete if someone made an offer on it or I would part it out if I have alot of interest in other parts. the engine has approx 8 hours of running time on bore, crank and pistons, reeds, domes. the airbox and filters have one ride. located in anchorage, ak. make some offers on parts if you see anything you need. PM me please. here is some photos of it. Parts like tires, wheels, frame, plastic, etc, larger items I will sell locally only. Bike is extremely clean. I tore the whole thing down when I was doing the engine build and cleaned and greased everything. It has low hours on rebuild. Parts are all solid except one head light doesnt work, the kill switch doesnt work and one ball joint is loose

I bought these carbs from a member on here and have sold my banshee. So I no longer need them. They have just been cleaned, no jets included, the needles are included. One float bowl has been welded to miss the clutch arm. I would like to get $240 for them. And they will be shipped prority mail to whoever buys them in the united states.
