  1. Well atleast he did line the paddles up HA HA!!!
  2. I don't know much about the conversion but if you did any welding on the frame when doing the conversion did you unplug the electronics like stator, cdi, coil if not you could have damaged them when welding on the frame.
  3. x2, better a little rich than lean, if the temp changes you will still be good.
  4. 112 octane should be fine. I'm running 110 and if I remember correctly I have 159 on both cylinders.
  5. If you go with the cub just remember that the studs from stock cylinders will be short. With that said you can not screw them in all the way and blue loctite them or you can order the studs from FAST that are the right height.
  6. I have learned in my 44 years that sometimes the simplest and most routine can sometimes throw us a curve and drive us crazy!!!!
  7. Fill the resi, pull rear banjo, raise it above the master, pumpit a few times to get fluid started. Sometimes they will air lock if it is completely dry and you will fight it forever.
  8. Call a site sponser like HJR and they will guide you in the right direction and let you know what you will need to get you set up the way you want it , and answer your questions when you run into problems. You can use whoever you feel comfortable with, I have personal experience with HJR and am very pleased with Kevins work.
  9. I use anti seize on threads( aluminumto steele might strip if it gets corroded or galds a little) and torque to 14 ft lbs. 14 is the proper torque on the spark plugs.
  10. Anybody know how 22/11/8 10paddle rippers would work on a stock frame +6 swing arm 421 cub, drag ported. Would they perform well, stand up or spinn like crazy? I don't really care for doing big wheelies, but don't mind carrying the front a litttle. Just want something that will hookup descent with a little spin, but not blowing the tires off of it like I do now with knobbies on dirt.
  11. I guess I'm lucky my frame must be bent also cause they fit pretty good once I got my head out of my ass and shit out of my eyes, went together pretty well.
  12. rockymountain atv, motosport.
  13. If you go with the cub, be prepared to hold the f%^*k on. Especially if you do a heavy port, like drag.
  14. very smart idea.....you ll be happy you did HJR does good work, save up and you'll be glad you did for sure.
  15. bigger front, smaller back = go faster, if your chain is streched enough just adjust your carrier.
  16. Got the dragger done last week!!!!!!!!!!!!! With 17/38 and nobby 20" tires it just blows them off, don't really start moving untill end of second and then third she really starts to move out! I do need different tires but don't know what to get.
  17. you talkin $5 or $5000, the latter will get you quite a bit the, previus will get you a feel good sticker
  18. I just sent an e mail, but I noticed that you are running +2+1 a arms, these are for a stock a arm setup.
  19. got a set of fronts, remote rezzi, yamaha blue shock covers like new, for a 250# rider stock a arms. pm if interested.
  20. Sounds like your floats or needles may be sticking or have something inbetween the needle and seat? Pull carbs apart and check.
  21. My plugs look alot like yours, I don't have enough room to do a proper plug chop without running through cow shit . I need to haul it somewhere I can open it up. I'm running 172 mains,52 pilot and cel mid clip in 39pwks. This is a drag ported cub though, Kevin at HJR said that the 52 is the proper pilot and was adamate about not changing it or the needle, clip position and mains can be changed. It may be a little rich but does not bog or hesitate and flat out screams, this may just be something with the drag setup idk. I don't want to change too much but don't want to carbon up stuff either.
  22. I'm running 17/38 on my cub with 20/11/10 knobbies and keep blowin the tires off of it. Might be a good thing though if it ever hooked up I may not have arms any more!!
  23. dont have a pic but it comes in a purple bottle, yellow cap, and is the only one that says royal purple on it. you can use whatever weight or multi weight you want as all the viscositys are safe for wet clutches.
  24. If Kevin says the're top notch then they must be. I've never heard of one but that means nothing.
  25. Royal Purple is what I run, its just what I prefer not telling anyone else to run it or not to run it just replying to the thread. Hell you can run anything you want its your machine, wether its the spout that turns you on or whatever!!
