  1. I tested my coil bout a month ago and it was in specs but I'll test it again. And yes it does have fresh plugs in there. I have a spare stator as well I might put that in there just to eliminAte that as the problem
  2. Ok so I finally was able to do some tuning. I went from a 320 main to a 330 main. I moved the needle clip from 2nd slot down from the top to third down. And I played with the air/fuel screw while it was hot. Nothing happened it ran the same as it did before. So then I changed to a 310 main and nothing happened it stayed the same. Then I put the 330 main back in and changed the needle clip from 3rd down to 4th down and still nothing. I played with the air/fuel screw going as far as 3.5 turns out and still didn't change anything. What it's doing is cutting out at about mid range no matter where I have the throttle at. It does it from 1/4 throttle to WOT. any ideas?
  3. My grandpa is 70 and keeps up with us on his banshee. Awesome guy!!
  4. I know the float bowls are correct because it started first kick before I tore it down and rebuilt it. And yes t does have the crossover tube there between the carbs. I wish I had a dyno around here that would make it mug easier but I'm taking it out today and we will see how it goes I'll let you guys know when I get back home
  5. Yea he told me what he thought when he gave me all the parts for my rebuild. Im taking it out today so we will see what happens
  6. I've used castor before but like said earlier it leaves a lot of black stuff behind so now I use redline synthetic at 40:1.
  7. i just tightened mine up with a couple pipe wrenches and they work fine, never came loose on me.
  8. hey everybody, sorry to make another jetting thread but im stumped haha so i have an 02 banshee with stock carbs, cpi pipes, pods v force reeds, cool head, hjr dune ported cylinders with a 4 mil crank i have the timing set at +4. im currently at 4500 ft. right now i have air/fuel at 2 turns out, 320 mains, 35 pilots, and needle clip on the third down. whats happening is it is really hard to start cold but then when it gets warm it starts fine. also when its warm but not hot it runs almost perfect but once it gets completely hot it cuts out on both cylinders in mid range. any help will be greatly appreciated!!
  9. There is a elevation finder on the pinned threads. Where at in news Mexico, here in clovis is 4500 ft
  10. I got the same setup. I'm not sure bout the stock lines bit since I was spending so much on the setup I or myself some nice steel braided lines. Well worth it
  11. I got stock carbs and the pods that fit stock carbs. It's not like it happens everytime just has happened to me n I'd rather not pay 60 bucks for a filter n outerwear haha. So you're saying to get a smaller clamp?
  12. So I've had an issue before with my pods falling off my carb and having to buy new ones. I know what you're gonna say, make sure it's tight on the carb. Well I check it before I go out hut sumtimes I forget. So on to the question, do you guys/gals have any modifications to keep from losing it if for whatever reason it falls off? I was thinking of cutting a very small hole in the outerwear and stickin a ziptie through it and around something on the carb. What do you think?
  13. Can't tell you main jet size without knowing you're elevation. Also check and make sure the throttle cable on both carbs is adjusted correctly. Mine was doing that same thing, turns out somehow my left side carb top was not adjusted the same as the right so when I hit the throttle the left wasn't gettin as much fuel as the right.
  14. Not sure about the sleeve but I know my piston did that because I was running too lean, could have something to do with it, I'm not an expert tho I'm sure somebody else will chime in here soon
  15. I had it on the frame and the wires not hooked up n it tested fine. I know I've takin it to a shop to have it tested before and they don't hook it up to anything so you should be good.
  16. Hmm weird. Well when I had just t6s on my bike here in clovis I was running a 290 main jet but I have pods so idk how big of difference that would make in jetting compared to you're single. Did you try unplugging the ebrake like Troyz said?
  17. Ok great thank you very much. That's what I originally thought but they're are both even as they are both all the way down. Could my cable be bad possibly?
  18. What is you're jetting at right now? (main, pilot, air screw, needle clip position) also what is you're elevation. It's probably a jetting issue if you changed anything like added new pipes or any modifications really. Did u do a leak down test before u started it? Also is the tube that goes between the carbs there?
  19. Hey everybody, so I think I might have finally figured out what is wrong with my shee, when I hit the thumb throttle the right side starts to pull the float up before the left does. Everything in the carb is equal on both carbs. Any ideas how I would fix this?
  20. Oh yea sorry bout that forgot that little piece of knowledge haha
  21. Ibsen havin the same issue lately, first to check the primary of the coil touch the negative lead to the tab the black wire was on, the positive lead on the tab the orange wire was on reading should be between .28 and .38 ohms. To test the secondary put the negative lead on the black wire tab and the positive on the end of one of the plug wires. Also make sure the plug caps are making good contact, I've had an issue with that before
  22. I'm in Clovis nm and I've seen some in kirky and around alamagordo for you're price range! You're gonna love a banshee, I had one, sold it bought a trx450r and didn't have as much power so I put a 500 kit on it. My banshee still had more power so I ended up selling that n buying another banshee! Welcome to BHQ! if you're ever in new Mexico and need a fellow banshee rider hit me up I'm always ready to ride!!
