  2. So my friend jus picked up a new shee for 500 bucks that doesn't shift into gear. When u hold the clutch in it will turn over and verything but it won't go into gear, I was thinking either a shift fork or the shift star is bad what do u guys think?

Definantly don't run e85 in anything that stuff is horrible, I don't know how many cop cars (they seem to think they need e85) have come in to our shop sayin that it won't start or it runs like crap and all we do is drain the e85 put regular in it and it starts right up and runs perfect. Seems to me all e85 is, is water lol but as far as pump gas you should be fine, I've never had a problem with it

  5. hey everyone, so i am racing my wifes bike tommorow (banshee is still down) and i need to get a tether kill switch for it. now the only one i can find around here is a bike masters kill switch, how would i find out if its a normally open or normally closed switch? i have to drive two hours to buy it and i dont wanna drive all the way there if its normally open because then it wont work on her bike. any help would be greatly appreciated!!
  6. ok i took it apart and it looked like it said dgk on the clip. it might have been dgl because on keihins website i didnt see a dgk option.

  8. so i just got a set of 35 mm pwks. when i had stock carbs i was running 35 pilots and 330 mains. my mods are cpi in frames, v force reeds, chariot cool head 20cc domes, pod filters, 4 mill crank with dune port cylinders. what should i start with as far as jetting, ive been told a 155 or 158 with a 48 or 50 pilot. however when they setup my carbs at the factory they put in 172 mains and 55 pilots. any help is greatly appreciated!!

  10. By 450r I'm assuming u mean te yfz and not the yz dirtbike correct? I think it'll be close my wifes 450r would beat me when I didn't have my stroker kit and hers is basically the same setup u just described
  11. How much was it for a gallon of redline? Cuz I spend 65$ per gallon when I lived In Oregon. Now the best I can get in town is yamalube. Needless to say I have to buy it off the Internet now haha
  12. Instead of doin all that have you thought about porting your stock cylinders? That will really wake the shee up!
  13. Up sorry I don't know why down got put in there lol. For the track I ride at I have the stock dunlops, for the dunes I'm not exactly sure the size of the tire I know I have 9 paddle extremes and Mohawks but I'll have to go check them when I get off work
  14. Hey everyone, So I just installed a 4 mill stroker and ported my cylinders to a dune/play port accompanied by CPI in frames and some other bolt on mods. What would be a good sprocket size for me? I'm still running stock sprockets so I was thinking maybe one or two down up in the back. I ride almost completely dunes however there is a 5 mile sand track that I go to here in town. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
  15. When I out a "kit" in mine it was a 4 mill including porting the cylinders. It can be done and I believe it's well worth it. It would be a good idea to invest in some carbs as well

  17. When I did my first rebuild I had this problem. What ended up being the problem was the adjustment on the clutch basket cover. Adjusted that and it ran fine after that. From my understanding the handlebar adjustment is more for freeplay of the lever than adjusting the actual clutch but I could be wrong about that
  18. I run gear saver 85w and I've never had an issue. As far as tightening, if u can't get 14ft lbs you have issues haha
  19. So my friends and myself have been running redline full synthetic in our two strokes and they don't sell that where we live so we are switching oils. I will be switching to amsoil Which is full synthetic and he is going to use yamalube. Will going from full synthetic to oil with synthetic properties blow his engine? I was told synthetic oil leaves a film on all you're internals and if you switch it will not be able to lubricate as it should. I have been told and seen different things when I searched so I thought I would ask the experts! Thanks!
  20. ok i finally figured out what my problem was, for whatever reason the float bowl was getting sucked dry and it was cutting out like it had an electrical issue, so now im just gonna get some 35 mm kehinhs cuz i wanted new carbs anyway. thanks for all the help everyone.

  22. ive had geckos, sand stars, haulers and extremes. IMO the geckos were a waist of money completely. the sand stars were good but didnt even compare to the haulers. if you ride the dunes more than once a year (if you dont id run knobbies IMO) i would suggest getting the haulers. for the front ive used the single ribs, dual ribs and mohawks. the single worked best for me.

  24. Well I ran 300 mains before I switched my t6s for CPI'S and added a dune Port and 4 mill. Kevin at HJR told me to run 330s and they seem ok but no matter how I change my jetting I still have the same problem it doesn't get better and it doesn't get worse so I'm thinking it's an issue with spark
