  1. You are going to just check for excessive play in the rods.....checking the bearings....listen to make sure it does not growl.....Just check and make sure everything is spinning freely and as smoothly as possible......There is a spec on rod play...i do not know what the tolerances are...but thats it...new top end and back together......DONE
  2. OK STUD - you only need to replace the stud that is missing.......let me know I may have one for you... TOP END - I think everyone will recommend Wiseco Pistons...you can get a top end kit from a site sponsor for a good deal.....includes pistons, rings, circlips, wrist pin bearings, new rings...everything u need for your top end...... Cool Head - Running cooler is not what u really gain from this.....you get to change the domes at the top of the engine above the pistons.....this increases the compression of the engine giving it a little more power.....a little! It is a good mod....but you dont need to do this.....you can have your stock head machined as well pretty cheap.....and this will do the same to your compression without interchangable domes... STROKER - yes you can install a stroker kit like a car....a 4mm stroker kit is the most feasable.....it gives you 2 mm more of stroke on each side increasing compression and power significantly....This is a lot more costly......it is a whole new crank.....they have both a short rod 110 and long rod 115 option......There are many posts on building these....just do a search POWER - A port job of your cylinders will be a good option especially if you have the engine apart......it is a little pricey as well to do this but worth it....really opens the bike up.....call Brandon @ Wildcard racing or JEFF at F.A.S.T. racing they do excellent work and will have your top end parts! You can get an adjustable timing plate and increase the timing which will get a squeak of power........the cool head with the different domes will increase power......you will need to run race gas at a certain dome size......please search for cool head posts regarding the benefits/disadvantages Check your cylinders to make sure your bore is still within spec before ordering your top end kit!!!!!! YOu can take them to a local shop and just have them mic'd out. Thats all i got for now....

  18. 20 ft lbs on all the nuts...cylinders and head nuts.....torque in sequence 10 -15 - 20 lbs to ensure equal torque each guy has thier own method for break in...some run it balls to the wall on a fresh rebuild...others do heat cycles....engine builders can offer a better/safe method for u
  19. The trails out farther are just so much more abundant that you dont need a pass....trails go everywhere....i run holeshots out there and dont need paddles, but if u wanna climb up the steep stuff they help a ton its not just one hill its tons of trails and what not
  20. I second that shit!! went through 3 of them
  21. Yes I have ridden there before.....I was with a group of guys who had their passes and i just blended in.......they parked up there near st.clair.....at a parking area.....we did get checked for the passes..... I know where the Wal mart is.....i have heard of people parking there but i don't know.....I just go out to Trevorton now... coal hill its nice riding...but i would just reach out for a member here...meet up and ride in their "backyard" which has all the same trails
  22. running shees arent selling now for a g
  23. I have a stock banshee as well with FMF gold series on it......I run 280's at 500 ft with 25 pilots IT is spot on and very crisp
  24. All you need is a 4 ply tire for trails I ride in NY WV and PA all sorts of terrain and never had any issues I run RAZRS all around and have no issues with them.....I am trying a set of dunlops next cause they were $40 a tire They seem like they will be a good trail tire as well but pattern will wear slightly faster that the solid holeshot stud So if you wanna spring for 6 ply go for it...if something wants to find its way into your tire....it will regardless I have ITP Mud lites on my Big bear and have about 300 miles on it and had a hole in a few sidewalls already nothing i could not plug but still a problem
