What Was You First Time Like?
Newtome03shee replied to ninjamaster's topic in General Banshee Discussion
My first bike was actually a Honda Odyssey. I loved that thing, everyone always wanted to ride it so I got to ride everything on trade. I then got a Honda 350X and that was pretty bad ass. I now have a 09LTZ400 and the 03 Banshee. The Banshee is fast, I rode today and everyonce on awhile it surprises you, it will comeout from under you when you least expect it. I still think that the LTZ 400 is a pretty fast quad, I have some stuff done to it and it goes. -
Unfortunately....I think were a dying breed. :(

Stick to the sponsors on BHQ, there are plenty of parts around here. I buy everything online, easy to get, cheaper, you can find almost anything you want and in most cases it is at your door in 2-3 days. -

From what I read on the Australian site, it may be the last year all together. -
Hey guys not beating a dead horse here, but I just got my kid a 03 RM 125 and we are trying to figure a good all around oil for the harescambles and for the trails. I am running Klotz tecniplate in it now, that's what the previous owner was using but, I have been hearing great things about Motul 800. I read from several users that it burns clean and there is no carbon on the top end when you open it up? Anyone using Motul 800 in the shee. I am running Amsoil interceptor 40:1 in the shee right now, but looking at making the switch to Motul. Anyone using Motul 800??

DO NOT Deal with Sprocket Specialists
Newtome03shee replied to locogato11283's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I just had a similar experience with a well know ATV/Dirbike online parts supplier. I had fight with this company over a coupon/cash voucher I received as a gift for ordering allot of products from this company. I recently went to place an order and figured I would use the coupon and found it expired. I sent a few emails and asked the company why they sent me a cash voucher that expired two months after I received it? I was completely honest and told them I had no idea that it expired, I mean I would figure it should never expire, or at least give me a year to use it. So I told them that I would never buy from them again if they did not honor the coupon and they said sorry, It is expired and we can not honor it. So I wrote back and said fine, you just lost a good customer. Now this coupon was clearly marked that is expired two months from the date of issue, so it is my fault, but considering that I called them on it and I have placed many orders from them, that they would have issued me a new coupon or something, I mean is a coupon worth losing a customer that buys from your site on a regular basis?, they seem to think not. It is not allot of money, like $50 bucks, but it is the point and when you are ridding a Banshee, every bit of money helps!! I would love to drop their name, but It is my fault for not reading the fine print, so I will keep it to myself. I will now only deal with Banshee HQ sponsors. -
Nah the boost bottle is probably what puts it over the 130mph mark.

New to the forum, just purchased a 2002 Banshee
Newtome03shee replied to BiggSean's topic in General Banshee Discussion
If you don't mind me asking, how much did the banshee run you? -
Here is the first to the present 2010. From what you are describing, the only one I see with any teal is a 92 http://www.clubdelbanshee.com.ar/fotos/fotos.html

What's a stock 2001 worth? Midwest pricing.
Newtome03shee replied to BMP's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I guess I overpaid, I just bought a 03 mostly stock banshee for $3500. But that is in NJ, everything is expensive. It came with a K&N and pro flow, ITP wheels, braided lines two new carbs and a new top end. The bike is immaculate. I am happy with it. Exhaust would have been nice, but I just got done putting on 916's. -
I read somewhat of the same thing on the Australian Yamaha site. It said get em while they last. I had a feeling that they might be done this year. http://www.yamaha-motor.com.au/products/atv/sports/10-banshee-350

Average hours before rebuilds?
Newtome03shee replied to JSHEE34756's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I have never had to rebuild a 4 stroke. I had a few ATC's back in the day and ran them for years and never even really maintained them. I will agree with most of the post on here. It is certainly on how you ride it and how you maintain it. My Yamaha dealer had made it clear that the most important thing you can do for a two stroke is WARM IT UP!!! Give it a good five or so minute warm up and then take a slow spin around go through the gears and it will last for years that is along with keeping the air filter cleaned and a good two stroke oil. -
I would have bought it in a second.

Don't know about the pipes but I have the same Shee. That's an 03 limited right?
-
Just take it off huh? I have a K&N too, It says pro flow on the intake? I bought it used so I am not sure what was fully done to it yet. I was told to just take it off by my local Yammy dealer. I am not worried about mud and water, I am more or less worried about the dust in the summer. I actually have the lid off now and I had it over the wheels with mud and water on Monday and nothing got in the box.

Yeah I liked pro circuit platinum's, they sound good. I also like the T 5's and T6's. I ended up getting the DMC 916's. Still installing them. It really came down to these three for me. I just recently heard a set of Bill's pipes?? They sounded bad ass too.

No I am not taking the lid off, I just removed the snorkel. I am cutting a hole in the lid, but I am wondering if the removing the snorkel will affect jetting along with cutting the hole in the airbox. Removing the snorkel made a bigger air intake, I don't know if I need to adjust for this or just put the snorkel back on. I always take the snorkels off on my 4 strokes, first mod I do!!
-
I am installing DMC 916's and there is a template for for cutting the aribox. I took off the snorkel and plan on cutting the hole in the lid but I removed the snorkel. Will this affect the recommended jetting from DMC? I belive a #30? It says that if you remove the lid to go to a 320 pilot jet, but I don't know if removing the snorkel will make that much difference or not.
-
I would get one, but I don't have paypal. I have been thinking about joining but I am a little leery.
-
I went with the DMC 916's, I got them yesterday and will be putting them on tomorrow. supposed to be in the 90's tomorrow, not bad for the North East in April... Yes they do sound different, much better IMO to. We seen a video that you switched from the Aliens? Are you still running the 916's? I have watched his video's for quit awhile now, one of the reason's we went with the DMC's. I just never realized that he has so many videos and has changed exhaust a few times.

POSSIBLE GLAMIS TRIP FOR MICHIGAN PEOPLE
Newtome03shee replied to 01strokedshee's topic in Riding and Events Forum
Yeah, lets all stay intouch. I was talking to my wife about it, I am looking into renting a RV. I have also been looking into buying a luxury toy hauler. Can you make a camp at Glamis?
