  1. Hey man, where do you go ridding living in the Bronx? Do you have someplace close by or do you do allot of traveling? It is getting tough to find good places in the tri state!
  2. $3000-$4000. I just paid $3500 for a 2003 limited and it is completely stock besides some cosmetics. The reason I bought it was that it was clean, almost new. My mechanic was also impressed, he was surprised at the condition.
  3. NJ checking in, I have a thread similar to this going on. I am interested in going myself. I could meet up somwhere inbetween. If there are any NJ riders interested in going check in.
  4. How is the riding in Saskatchewan, Canada? I sure you guys have allot of open land to ride? I met allot of Canadians this winter down at a resort in Akumal, Mexico. Allot of guys said that they have great ridding. We also laughed that we had 5 feet of snow and they had nothing We usually get a couple of inches of snow a year and this year we definitely topped 5 feet. March hit and we have been in the 60's and 70's since, Bring it on!! Crazy weather for sure..
  5. Thanks for the post guys, it must be great to have somewhere to ride, you guys are all pretty lucky. The noise laws suck!!. What are the tickets for loud pipes? They don't have that law here yet, but I see it coming someday for the Harley's. I have Vance & Hines longshots on my Harley and they are not coming off!! I will pay the fine!!! I think next year I am going to RV out and bring the toys and most likely go to Glamis. I would like to visit the SoCal, Arizona region.
  6. Did you mean he has been using AMSOIL for 25 years or riding a Banshee for 25 years?
  7. I have never been out West and I am curious about the sand dunes. I mean are the dunes regulated by the state and police? Do you just show up and ride freely or do you need permits? In what states are most of the dunes in, how many miles of dunes are there and how far can you go? Not trying to sound like a dweeb, but I would love someday to just go out and ride wide open in the dunes without having to worry about getting chased or arrested for ridding in the woods. It looks like such a good time, some of the pictures just look so awesome. When I was a kid growing up, places to ride were never an issue, you just went out and rode, but due to major construction and the state cracking down on ATV's it is damn near impossible to ride, not to mention the locals, all they do is whine. It is almost to the point that there is no place left locally to ride, but when that time comes I will just store my bikes till I move somewhere that you can ride freely, cause I am never selling my Banshee!!
  8. When I first joined I was playing around on the site and accidently hit you as a friend request, I did not know all the buttons, just incase you were wondering why I requested it. But since we are pals now, I see you are in Jersey? I am down in Cape May. Is there any riding in Blackwood? Later

  9. I sent you a PM, question about AMSOIL.
  10. I am looking for all kinds of stuff, Razr tires and a K&N powerlid for starters. I will check out the site
  11. Not to but in, but I just started using AMSOIL interceptor at 40:1. in the Banshee. I run AMSOIL HP injector in my kids YZ85 at 50:1. Great stuff, I use the Saber at 100:1 for all the power equipment and 4 stroke for my 4 Strokers and the Lawn Z. Everything that has and engine at my house gets the AMSOIL.
  12. Cool, have fun, I would have loved to bought a 2010 Banshee, but I am guessing that it still is no different than any other years. Have fun. I am still trying to figure out a pre mix oil. I am between Klotz R50 and AMSOIL interceptor. Good luck with it Yeah they still make them in Europe and Australia, but no longer in the States. Canada sold them up until 08 I believe. I think that 2010 or 2011 may be the end for the Banshee altogether, the Yamaha website in Australia says to get the Banshee while it last.
  13. I posted the same question in the General forum last night, should have looked here first, but I wrote to DMC and got a reply and to really answer your question there really is no better system, more so just what fits what you want. The 916's are said to have more top end and the Aliens make more low end. They also both produce a sound of their own. The 916's sound more like an indy car and the Aliens are more of a motocross, MX bike sound. I ordered the 916's today, I was not crazy about the 2 into1 silencers, but they kind of grew on me and they just sound so good. Cannot wait to get them on!!
  14. Going with the 916's. I got a letter back from DMC explaining the two and the 916's are what I am looking for, not to mention they sound great!!
  15. I have been reading about fuel injected two strokes, KTM is working on one. I was thinking if fuel injected two strokes ever happen, the Banshee could return. It is a longshot, but could happen.
  16. My Harley website has a self help section, it is very handy. One of the mods there really devotes allot of time and does a nice job. Anyone can add info, there are video fixes', picture by picture repairs and just comments and suggestions. It does help with the repetitive questions such as oil and ratios.
  17. I am about to order a set of DMC's but I am crossed on what set to order. Should I get the 916's or the Aliens? Do they both sound the same or is there a difference? I like the look of the Aliens vs the 2 into 1. I have never really been a fan of the 2 into 1 look. Any thoughts?
  18. Looks good man!! I had an Odyssey back in the day when I was a kid, it was a blast, just lacked power and always had problems. The thing I loved about it was that everyone always wanted to ride it, so I always got to ride allot different bikes.
  19. The bike sat for a couple of years and the carbs were shot, gummed up and rusted. He had a shop go over the bike and they put on two new carbs and a new crank last year + some other stuff that added up. I guess he left the bike at the shop for almost a year and half while he paid off the bill. I think the parts were something like $1300 and the labor was just about the same, I really could not believe the price of the labor when I saw it. I have the work invoice and I called the shop to verify the work and the grand total was like $2675. They also said that they serviced the quad and it was taken care of and not beaten up. I looked at quit a few banshees and being on the shoreline most of the stuff I looked at was completely rusted and just beat to death. I may have paid a little more, but the bike is super clean, the plastics are in great shape and the bike almost has a new look to it. When I first saw it, I was really surprised at how nice it was. The engine is stock, but I am looking forward to working on it and moding it myself, I mean I have my own picture on what I want to do to the quad, not someone else's ideas and work. I believe that this was the closest thing I could get to a new Banshee. I am happy with the deal, it was either this or have one shipped across the country site unseen.
  20. I may be wrong, but I think in different parts of the country, Banshees range in prices. It seems that in CA there are lots of shee's as where here in Nj, you really do not come across allot. The going rate here seems to be $3500 to $4000. I just paid $3500 for a completely stock bike, there are a few things like braided lines, ITP rims and such, but a stock engine and no exhaust. It is very clean looks new to me, like nobody ever rode it. The previous owner just had about $2700 in work done to it. I think you would get your price here.
  21. Hang in there, I just bought one, they are far and few between in NJ.
  22. Cool. My wife is from "Happy Valley", she really wants to move back, we do get up for a couple of Penn State games every year, it is always fun. We are looking at six months to buy land, but probably will not build for a couple of years, but who knows, it could be allot sooner. I am ready go. I will keep in touch, It would be nice to know some riding buddies. Are you familiar with Beach Creek?
  23. They do and I believe that it is always in 4WD.
  24. I am looking for a full exhaust kit. I really would like a set of Toomey T6's or DMC aliens. I also like the Pro Circuit Platinum's. If anyone has anything LMK. Thanks
  25. Well I will be honest, I don't know anything about carbs and jetting. I just put my bike in the shop for carb syncing and adjusting, but there is no way that I can afford to put this thing in the shop every time it needs to be adjusted. Is there any videos or books that show illustrations on how to properly remove, clean and jet the carbs on a Bahshee? I guess my shee has the Tors on the carbs, it looks complicated. I have taken carbs off mowers and other dirtbikes I have owned, but the Banshee just looks complicated. I do some small tinkering and I do all the maintenance on everything I own, but when it comes to the carbs and engine, i just don'e know much about it, but I really would love to learn. If anyone has any info, I would appreciate it.
