depending on how bad it was it would take a degree wheel. get one piston top tdc with the head off and mark where the pickup is on the flywheel then do the other cylinder. inspect the fly wheel and make sure your marks are the same on both sides (position of mark on the raised surface) only way i know of without having a tdc tool, or degree wheel.

if it just started when it got cold it may just be lean. if it does it no matter the temp you may want to check compression. anything over 120 should start. preferably higher though depending on your elevation.

ok dude i have heard enough. your ignorance is what keeps blowing motors..... i have ran numura pistons (maybe a touch better than stock) with 165lbs of compression and alky so fat i could have put catch cans on and recycled the shit with no engine failure...... first you brag in the shout that you don't run filters... ok cool your on ice and there is no real debris in the air, or on the ground to kick up, but not running a filter is retarded. then you brag about liking to blow motor.. now you wanna know if a wsm will hold up? try finding a company that can make you a set of tungsten pistons because until you learn the basic's of tuning and preventive maintenance your motors will never last. /RANT

just send your parts off to the chromer. it's about 50 bucks to do all those parts at the shop i use in texas.

i just died a little.... if i was you i would fill it with brake fluid. maybe a 50/50 blend of brake fluid and battery acid. should hold up good. also from the factory there was no fill hole. you are suppose to hold your finger over the hole and reinstall a bolt when the peg is off. drill a 1/4 npt thread hole in the top and buy a pipe plug. don't mind these guys they know oil is suppose to be in there.....

180-185 compression. br9es plugs gapped at .018 different motor setups like different timing. +6-+12 i run +10 running the 1/4 i would stay safe on the timing due to heat. say around +7

i picked up a 2-5 cut by (Mike brooks)??? this would be my first overide so i have a question. is the drum suppose to be modified? does anyone know mike brooks and know how good his cuts are? does 2-5 mean it has all the gears with stock neutral position, just that you have to use the clutch 1-2 and 5-6? thanks for any help!
