I heard... just heard boost bottles make good bongs LOL
-
ha ha.... thats how it goes

i just had the same problem yesterday I just left under pressure and soaked it with liquid wrench than used a cheater bar and slowly worked it. I know its scary you mite strip threads or screw up crank shaft, just take your time it'll come.
-
I'll post a pick of it tonight thanks guys

could any one tell me the size or specs maybe even measure the stock woodruff key with a mic, I'm getting a timing plate and want to advance but I'm not sure if the guy i bought it from used the cheap key and if its already advanced. also I had one hell of a time pulling the flywheel could I use a little anti-seize of the out put shaft? thanks

Keeping The Shee Running Cooler!
BigMatt replied to 06specialedition's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I got a inline cooler for free the problem is I think they slow flow more than they cool, I have one thats 5inches long so it does grab some heat and you can feel the hose apose to the cooler and the cooler is hot, the only real place you can run them is by your head pipes whitch could actually grab more heat so I dont think there worth it, my oversized radiator and high flow impeller do most the work and my temps are about 175-190 on a 80degree day according to my vapor, I also run engine ice. -
picked up a gas tank from him and also a set of stock headlights off his ebay auction, great seller honest, knowledgeable guy, will most definitely buy from him again.
-
can hurt to try LOL.
-
sorry 6 hose's main radiator hose's head to rad, crankcase to rad, two over flow bottle lines, small 1/4inch head line, and the short head to impeller line
-
pull the hole coolant system out, all 5 hose's, radiator, and over flow bottle and inspect, other than that you have a leak some where in the motor easy fix just a impeller seal or a head gasket, but if your not seeing it on the ground your either burning it or it leaking in you crankcase. If it was me I'd just replace the heaad gasket and the impeller seal and go from there.
-
I was talking about racereflections
-
another thing would be a head leak, this causes coolant to leak in your cylinders thus burning it while running, do you have white smoke not the typical blue 2 stroke smoke? also to rule out overflow bottle leak, empty the overflow bottle and leave the radaitor full watch to see how low you radiator gets, if your radiator does not get low there is something with hose routing or a hole in the overflow bottle. also are you riding hills or on a flate surface?
-
I delt with him before I bought what he thought was a banshee mastercylinder but was not so i had to return it, He took it back and offered me other deals on clutch cover and what not, I can tell you though the mastercylinder was flawless! good guy.
-
I'm trying to determine wether or not you have a bad seal and are leaking coolant in the crankscase or if you just have a simple out side leak, but you have to tell me if you are getting puddles of coolant or its just vanishing.
-
no jetts are air/fuel ratio they can cause over heating but not lose of coolant do you get puddles of coolant on the ground? have you checked crankcase oil for coolant?
-
are you finding coolant on the ground? if not you have a bad seal, and it could be leaking into the crank case, I dont go off the overflow bottle to check coolant levels look in the radiator. another thing if your finding coolant on the ground, and the levels in your radiator are good than check the way your overflow bottles overflow line runs, It is supposed to run up the frame towards the radiator and up by the handlebars and loop by the bars theres a small tab that the hose runs through and comes about 12inchs back down.
-
Well thats alittle high cause I can get a Chariot Performance timing plate for $45.00 new http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Banshee-6061-Billet-Adjustable-Stator-Timing-Plate_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem414e4596aaQQitemZ280486057642QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
-
another thing check you crank case oil for coolant it can leak threw a bad impeller seal, if you pull the cover look at the impeller gear and impeller fins to check that off.
-
if there is no coolant than the computer will read the air temp in the line, trail tech computers are great to check temps when there is fluid, also make sure your small head coolant line and overflow line are not crossed this will cause coolant to dump into your overflow, The tallest point on the radiator is you overflow usually rate off the cap housing. another thing when coolant gets hot and your radiator is filled to the top it will expand pushing small amounts into your overflow bottle.

thank you sir!

today I kicked my banshee about 12 times(just changed the gas tank) and my kick started kicked back twice, Is this normal? does it just happen sometimes? or is there some thing that needs a fixin?
-
no need to get mad, I think rodneya was just giving you a hard time... thats the problem with typing there is no expression behind it. other than that sounds rich.
-
i have a vapor computer and on a day like today 70degrees my vapor reads about 180d, whats normal round about temps for 70d days also whats danger temps i know engine ice boils at i think 265 thats what i have, i was rippin on her pretty hard, I have a oversized radiator highflow impeller and inline cooler if those do anything.
-
thanks alot for all your help man!
-
really I was not sure I'd notic more power or not, but its a cheap mode thanks for clearing that up, also I have a stock head with 125psi is that good I'v heard anything lower than 110 needs rebuilt but before I bought it the guy said he put a freash wesco top end in it, also if you check compression when the motor is cold will you get a higher or lower reading? I was thinking higher because when the motor gets warm metal expanse, but I dont know, also as for sea level I live in Michigan
