chetgoff replied to chetgoff's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Cool thanks for all the replies. I will try adding a bigger sproket in the rear. I'm not sure if my cylinders will work with a 4mill cause I don't wanna run a spacer plate. I wanna do it right. also not sure on port timing so it may be all out of wack. I'm not sure how to do port timing procedure. -

hey guy's just looking for some assistance. my banshee is a 64.5 mm bore stock stroke milled head ported cylinders(pretty big ports not exactly sure what style) 35mm carb's k&N Pods stock timing for now. the gearing on it is 13 and 41. i ride sand only and 90% playing at the drags. is this good gearing or what do ya think?

ok guys went to beach this weekend to ride my shee for first time. This thing was awesome pulled hard and was way faster then my old honda 450. but I felt that when I hit 5 and 6 it was not pulling as hard anymore. I was having to use the clutch to keep it going and it just was not pulling real hard. it is stock stroke 64.5 bore 35mm pwk's big ports boysen reeds. not sure on timing I think it's stock. tires were 22x11x10 extreme 10 paddle. sand was very compacted from rain. oh and the thed is milled. not sure what i can do to make it pull hard through all gears need help. oh and dual K&N filters no air box.

hey guys quick question the other day I was smoking from one cylinder and i pulled plug it was steamed cleaned. I put new head gasket on and i'm smoking from both cylinders now like I was before. it is kinda white smoke but doesn't smell the same. Do these quads smoke cause there a 2 stroke? I see smoe drag bikes smoke alot. also could running to rich cause the smoke?

I have t-5's, 35 PWK"S ,64.5Bore Ported cylinders pretty big ports. (need to do a degree wheel to measure). the timing I think is stock. head is milled. and compression is at 150psi per cylinder. the bike smokes a little white when running not sure if this is norm. plugs look a little wet and dark when pulled but the gas is avgas wich he mixxed a bottle of oil that says for 5 gallons he mixed it with 4 gallons not sure what ration that is. is this a good ratio or should I go to five gallons. Just trying to get a fill for this new bike and this is my first 2 stroke. I read up on all the jetting help on this site also.

Hey guys can someone tell me how exactly to do the degree wheel procedure to measure my ports.

hey guy's i'm smoking white smoke from one cylinder could this be the head gasket? I pulled the head and did not replace the gasket.

ok guys need some assistance. tested my compression today and it was a 150psi in both cylinders. bore is 64.5 and stock stroke. heal is milled (I measured it and looks to be milled 20mm) so I was curious if these were good compression numbers or should I replace topend. not sure of time on topend or how old.?
-
thanks for the replies guys I was just starting to second guess my self after reading the article and wondering if it will keep the bike cool enough. since the additives in it are for running at higher altitudes. the guy says he mixes it with 4 gallons of Av fuel to a bottle of oil that is for 5 gallons not sure what ratio that is but it seems to run ok. this is my first banshee and 2 stroke at that
-
Well just curious I got this banshee that has been running on Av gas and I putting a new top end on it and want to start running race gas. I read a forum that says you have to rejet for race gas has anyone experienced this

cylinder measurments not turning out please help
chetgoff replied to chetgoff's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
ok so I checked again. The side of the piston when at TDC the side is almost flush with the deck but the center of the piston is sticking out of cylinder. not sure if that's what our talking about when you said it will stick out. I used a piece of wire to measure when pistons are at bottom. on one cylinder i'm getting 5.58 and the other is 5.51. -
cylinder measurments not turning out please help
chetgoff replied to chetgoff's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
thanks for the response this thing is driving me crazy. yeah i'm measuring the outside edge of the piston to the deck. i'm using a 6 inch ruler that has a sliding thing to mark where it's at. then i use my calipers to measure it. i did it several times. and got the same numbers. not sure why. I will try again today after work. and see what i get. -
