  1. i was wondering if you could run aftermarket carbs and aftermarket needles? i know that the needles make a noticeable difference in stock carbs when you buy a pipe kit compared to pipe and stock needlel. idk if you could run something like a toomey or alba needles in bigger carbs or if they only run with the needles they come with?

  3. my family has always used a simple feeler gauge and we have never had any problems.
  4. i would go with your plan b. sounds like a decent setup. i want to run that once i get the $$
  5. if you want pods go with foam filters with outerwears. they can stand riding in rain and some water but nothing like mud pits. more air flow the better.
  6. with the banshees power you will have a hell of a time keeping the front end down with shorter swingers. i would go with stock or +1 for hill climbing and stock for trails. +1 wont make much difference from stock on trails
  7. i am not 100% but its somewhere between .02 and .03. somebody should correct me if i am wrong
  8. the snorkle severly restricts airflow. and jetting gets easier and easier. with a banshee you will be in those damn things so often you will be able to do it blind folded
  9. i would go with the 33s because if you still want to improve you can always bore out your carbs up to 35s. just my opinion
  10. if it revs crisp and runs fine then it cant be the jetting. if it was too lean it would run lean from start. wouldnt it? i am thinking it has to be something other than jets. 230 seams low though.
  11. my dad has run the toomey hush kit for a long time a few years now. he has gotten to the point where he just runs it on his t 5s all the time. no signifigant power loss keeps sparks and noise down when he needs it and it still rips. just my opinion and have never seen or run the sparkys but toomey is an excellent company

  13. your already at 60 over. you dont really notice a power difference in a few mill. you have to remember that you can only go so big if you go 80 over then blow up two more times you cant bore the cylinders any more and your screwed. especialy if your ported. you would then have to bu a new set of cylinders and report the cases
  14. i mainly was wondering wich would produce a higher power output
  15. hey i was thinking which would offer more power and keep the snappy acceleration without it bogging out? any opinions?
  16. its rare to hear a banshee having a meltdown like that but its more like a feeling on the bike. if you have just the one bike then you should know how it runs. if your worried take it for a QUICK ride nothing more. if it doesnt feel right then jet. if that doesnt seem to help after a few tries then DROP THE COMPRESSION! unless you can raise your octain the that is your only option. this is just my opinion
  17. 28s will just give you more power and still keep the throttle responce. i would love to get rid off my stockers because of those damn tors in the first place. BIGGER IS ALWAYS BETTER!!!!!!
  18. what is the power differences in the different type of porting. i was wondering if you can get a port job to work with you pipes instead of the other way around? i have t6s planning on t 3s or 5s. i ride dunes just as equally as hard packed dirt riding play i gues is what you could call it.i was just wondering what the different types of porting do where they deliver the power. any help? thanks
  19. pm also sent
  20. / what about some cheap works? how much would a set of some of them cost for decent condition? just want somthing better than stock up front. tired of hitting hard lips at tops of hills and having to work as hard to keep the front end down.
  21. i have a set of stock shocks and just wondering if i can lower them to get a more plush ride. esspecially the front. if its not worth just messing with the stock shock where can o go to get a set of better one s beside elkas
  22. i have stock carbs with tors and toomey needles. i was considering boring my carbs but i was have heard that if you bore them too big that air will leak and that you will never be able to jet them right again. i was wondering how big you can go and if the power blades will help power. any help will be appreciated.
  23. i am just wondering if i polish the exhaust pot on my she and the rest of the intake along with the bottom of the cylinder, if that i will notice any power difference. that and along with raising and widening each side of the exhaust por about i mil maybe 1.5mill each side and top. i would rather start with polishing but if there is no signifigant change i might do the minor porting. any advice tips or other information that i might need?
  24. sounds great see you this year maybe
