  2. it was the first time i have taken the bike out of the sand. I took the chain blocker off when i was in the sand and didn't put it back on. I must have hit a rock or something that caused the two bolts to loosen up on my chain becaus i was riding over stumps, rocks, and pretty rough terrain.
  3. Hey guys, trail riding and bike stopped abruptly before a hill climb looked down and saw my chain snapped into my transfer case broke a couple pieces and cracked it. I managed to get the chain back on and got back to my truck. My question is what should i do with the transfer case? Can i just tighten my chain and go back riding or at what point is the damage going to prevent me from riding?
  4. Lol thanks. Ya I'm starting to that feeling but it's fun to mess with. If I remove that snorkel should I get a larger jet to adjust for more air? Pipes weren't too bad to install just getting the damn springs off sucked!
  5. Hey thanks for all the help. Im super stoked to feel this powerband once i get it dialed in and the pcs look awesome on! When I click that link it just takes me to yamaha of troys home page? Also, I have a filter cover not outerwear but some other brand I shouldn't remove that cover but the plastic cover over the filter with the snorkel on the end is garbage right?
  6. Thanks for the response I will take your advice and run the 290 main. I am running lean when the bike makes a snap and popping noise correct? What does the third clip mean? Sorry for all the questions but I just unclip that plastic airbox with the snorkel and leave the filter with a cover?
  7. Ok I will take a look. Also, what's the the deal about the snorkel? Is it something i need to remove or not worry about it.
  8. Never jetted before based on my mods does anyone have any suggestions on what I need? I just rode it probably 500 ft no more. I plan on riding in the sand with it if that makes a difference probably florence
  9. Hey guys I just installed a set of pro circuit platinum pipes and silencers on my 04 banshee. It is stock other than that with a k&n filter. I rode it after I installed them and it seems to be snappy as ever. How do I know if I need to rejet?

  11. Hey guys I just traded my 400ex for a 04 LTd Edition stock banshee! Im super stoked and got on it yesterday for the first time and man is there a differnce between that 2 stroke and my raptor! ANyways My chain was in bad shape so i changed it out but what other maintenance would you guys suggest doing right off the bat? if so, how can i go about finding some tips on how to do some of these things? Thanks again for all the help. By the way. My chain has about an 1.5-2 inches of play seems alittle floppy how do I go about tightening it?
  12. The girl has owned since 2005 her ex-boyrfriend is the guy i talked to and he said he has done all the maintenance on the bike and a professional shop where i am at rebuilt the top end. He doesn't want to mix the fuel and do all the work for her basically. I can't get a banshee for what i could sell my 400ex for where i am at and to be honest id like to have the banshee as a sand bike and use the raptor when i get back to the trails. Is there anything i should like for on the bike when i see it tomorrow? Or what questions i should ask
  13. I would but i don't feel like spending any more money. I bought my the 400 for $2200 and she had the banshee listed at $3400 or straight trade.
  14. Hey guys, I just joined the forum today long story short my girlfriend and i went to the dunes last weekend I have a raptor 660 and i bought her an 04 400ex stock except fmf powerbomb exhaust . Well turns out she raelly likes my raptor over the 400ex so i found someone that wanted to sell there 04 limited edition banshee (stock) or trade for a 400ex. I am meeting this girl on saturday. After talking to her boyfriend the engine was blown at one point due to wrong mixture of fuel. He said the top end was rebuilt as close to stock as possible but is one mil over? Is there a power difference with just one mil over? I am new to the sport but does that sound correct? We've ridden trails and dunes for the first time last weekend ( THE DUNES ARE WHERE ITS AT!!!) so the bike will be used for the sand. thoughts?
