  1. I thought the purpose of a dunable was to be able to backload it? I need something else for my bike...
  2. I don't have a set of small bore shearers here since I run big bores, but there's a few different factors that can play into the thickness/diameter. Material thickness for one, as well as how "round" it actually is. I've had a set of FMF's that were pretty much oval right at the flange. They were junk.
  3. First off, you're kinda new, so you'll learn quickly not to listen to anything camatv says. Second, are you measuring the flange itself? or the diameter where the expansion chamber starts off of the flange?
  4. I've used these MANY times at the races. It's an amazing tool. We can groove a set of BFG Projects in about 30 minutes. I've never gotten to use it on an ATV tire, but it's fast as fuck on 38" Projects. I'd imagine it would go right through a little ATV tire. For anyone wondering, it's made by a company called Ideal. They sell all different blades for them in different widths. It's pretty much a tool that any hard core racer always has in their rig. Sometimes several. Terrain changes daily, and sometimes we end up grooving, or re-grooving tires in the middle of the race. Hands down the fastest, and best way to cut tires.
  5. So............. is the price $1000? or was that just a random number thrown out?
  6. I would imagine less than a lb a tire... there's not THAT MUCH rubber removed aside from just shaving the paddle off... Probably not enough to warrant the added risk of a rock or stick going through the tire. My buffed haulers popped after about 10 minutes of riding at LS Utah from the rocks. Now I'll be putting tubes in them.
  7. I've never handled a set of ATV tires. I think the "comp cut" are shaved between the paddles? The sand car tires are like 40lbs a piece. No one cares about weight in those. Usually the sand car paddles come like you see in the pictures, like 450 paddles on a tire. They either cut every other one, or cut two, leave one, cut two, leave one, etc. No one "buffs" tires for a sand car, therefore I have no idea how labor intensive it is. I don't even know if STU does that in house or not.
  8. STU is right here in Temecula. I get tires cut from them all the time. Usually they do it in a few hours. Half the time I never pay. I had some #2 padla brats cut for my sand car and they did them in like 45 minutes.
  9. aaaaannnddddddd this guy is a mechanic, by trade. I guess now we know where NOT to go for that oil change.
  10. Except for if he cancels the transaction, which I would do.
  11. Arrows never work when your post shows up on the next page, doofus.
  12. Third in line. I'll send it to scrap.
  13. Fingers crossed for $15/gal... I've been hoping for more expensive fuel prices for a long time. The more expensive fuel is, the less people in my way on the road.
  14. Tyler said "more-torque" is mccoy earlier in the shoutbox.
  15. Uh, so he doesn't have a bender that he can make arms? Tell this guy to give up now. I'm giving no more advice. this sounds like a death trap waiting to happen, and I want nothing to do with it. From here on out, I'll just be talking shit.
