  1. You didn't spend enough time trying to get your tach working right on your vapor. I had no issues whatsoever getting mine to work. Followed the instructions and it worked perfectly.

  3. I ran one on my old stock cylinder bike. It worked pretty well. MPH wasn't very accurate, though... Probably 4-6mph off. I used it to monitor coolant temp and RPM's, mainly. It had a trip meter on it which was pretty cool to see ROUGHLY how far you've ridden in a day or over the course of a trip. You can set coolant temp alarms, and there is memory for MPH, RPM, and coolant temp.

  5. If your works shocks got too hot to touch, something was wrong with them. I've cycled works steelers on the dyno for 2 hours at 90 strokes per minute and only increased external temperature by ~40 degrees. As far as the air expansion, there is no easy way to explain it. It is a very sophisticated algebraic equation to compute the volumetric expansion coefficient. The chemical make-up of the air in your specific region will vary, and the expansion rate will differ. Basically, fuck around with it and see what it does.
  6. Not sure on the torque, but I can find out. I would imagine that cam left that serval with lower port heights to keep it... well... as a serval.
  7. Oh, I guess I didn't realize you were talking about a specific motor in particular. I know of a stock cylinder 350 that is in the 95hp range, and I believe it's on it's 3rd season. Only time will tell, I guess, but I would think that a drag ported 421 serval on alky should be above those numbers. The low torque is strange for a serval, isn't it? I don't know a whole lot about motors in general, it just didn't strike me as anything impressive. Who owns the motor you're talking about?

  10. LS Utah made LS Oklahoma look even worse than it already did... if that's even possible. All the big dog motor builders showed, and there was actually REAL racing. None of this 60ft pansy shit... It was a unanimous decision amongst everyone there who has been to LS, OK that they'd never go back.

So, uh, if you have your street car, and you take it to the local drag strip, they don't require you to wear a helmet, have a cage if you run under a certain ET, chute under a certain ET, tech inspection?   12. The problem is, you have backwoods hillbillies that "have been doin' dis daggum shit since da dawn of time, harumph". Unless they are FORCED to make changes, they won't, which is sad when you consider they couldn't give a shit sometimes about their own person well-being, or their kids'. The same guys that ride in flip flops and cargo shorts are the same guys that would try to sue a track because there was a 3" rock left in the track that dented their pipe.

  16. Ride height, yes, but the shocks don't shorten. They still have the same extended length.

  18. Just FYI, the length is not adjustable. The only thing adjustable is the preload on the springs. Just didn't want a prospective buyer to purchase these with the intention of shortening them simply by moving the preload ring.
