that may be possible,,,i didnt pull the needle or pilot,,i went to a 150 main,,,ran like shit,,,put 145'sin,,ran a bit better so i will prolly end up around 130-135.the previous owner also ran stock reed cages and a lid oin the box,,,i ditched the lid and put ported reed cages so it leaned it out some. it must have a rich needle cause i figure i'll end up around 130ish?

first off my mods are fmf fattys, k&n no lid,+4 timing,,,ported reed cages with boyesen dual stage power reeds,28mm pwk's.its ran great till i put the ported cages in. i noticed a sputter through 2nd gear then would pull hard through rest of gears. has been idling kinda funny too. so i finally pull the main jets and i was in disbelief from what i found,,,,,125 mains!!!!waaayyy too lean guys,,,,,where should i start with my mods listed above,,,150?

ya,,,im at 125 per side with my stock head,,,pretty fresh top end,,,gonna have to dp another comp test once i install the new head,,,,says i will gain 35-45 more psi,,,,hopefully i will be able to run 93

will a stock shaved head give that much of a noticable gain? my comp is at 125 both sides,,,says it will raise it 35-40 psi,,,,will i feel the gain? oh ya,,,mods =+4 timing,,,old school fmf fattys,28 pwk's, boyesen dual stage power reeds on stock ported cages,k&n pod open air box,,,thanx in advance

ya i here ya man,,i'll prolly run my ported cages until i get it ported. its funny tho,,,ran into a dude at bundy hill sayin his dynoed at 65 hp,,,im lucky to be pushin 50,,,,my bike climbs these hils twice as fast as there shit does,,,and i've seen alot shees climb this hill,,,,lol.ythanx for the help bro

ok so heres the deal. i here from some ppl, v-force reeds only benefit the most for highr hp moters,,,60-70 motors and above. and the milder motors benifit from running ported stock cages withe boyesen dulal stage power reeds,,,,,and are the ported cages gonna make that much of a difference rather than just running the boyesens power reeds on stock unported cages. also,,,my bike is set up for low-mid and still pulls pretty decent up top and im running a stock uncugt head,,,,if i get it decked would i see any other gains besides more compression? actually thinkin of going to the chariot set up.....thanx in advance for your replies,,,,,,

fmf pipes are really a good pipe. there are much better choices if you do alot of draggin and want a top end pipe,but you said its a "second toy" so fmf's will probably siut you just fine. the fatties are more a low-mid pipe but still have a decent top and can be picked up used very reasonably. good luck without going crazy on mods,,,once you start it gets very addictive.....

what octane gas you running with 20cc domes? and whats your compression?

sorry to say,,,,everyone here will tell you just to ditch the boost bottle. it will do nothing except clutter things up and tear your intake boots. it does nothing at all for performance whether it be stock,slightly modded or heavily modded.....just put your stock crossover tube back on and you''ll be good.
