man i just saved myself a little bit of money,i was gonna order a block off plate for my newest banshee and low and behold i just found one in my toolbox,,,,lol,,,dont even know where it came from. anyways,,,,is there anything special i need to do when taking the bolt outta the caliper and mounting this block off plate? thanx in advance for any responces,,,,,,

absolutely not,,,the motor never changed in all those years believe it or not. thats quite a bit for a stock banshee,mines in great condition and and by far from stock and i payed too much at $2250. does it even have aftermarket pipes on it? did you change the oil in it before you rode it and what did the oil look like if so? how does the air cleaner look? this will tell you how well he took care of it

im not all stock but the head is stock,,,thats what dictates how high your compression is. you can buy a coolhead and put different domes in it to raise your compression. i havent had a topend done in awhile but its gonna run ya $300-$400 for everything..how muych did u pay for the bike? oh and i have an 87

i run a stock head and am at 130 even on both sides. your gonna need to get it bored and new pistons and rings

ya,,,thats waay low man,,annything under 100 your gonna need a new top end,and your way under that. and do it now before u blow it up and possibly cause lots more damage.

my buddy ran a 250 four poke off a 40 foot cliff after i told him to follow me and didnt listen,,,,he baled tho and was ok,,,the bike on the other hand wasnt,,,lol. i pulled it back 4 miles with my old banshee,,,,fucked my clutch up also. banshees arent made to tow things!,,,,lmao

ima try it one more time with some loctite,if it comes loose ima order an aftermarket one piece,,,i can got one for $35 shipped. i never had any problem on my last banshee and never used loctite either,,,,lol,,,go figure

ya,,,i thought so,,,i just didnt wanna dump the cash if i didnt have too. never had this prob with my last banshee. so now this week turns into a rear caliper AND new axle nut,,,,what else will i buy,,,,lmao

the inner and outter axle nuts keep loosening,,,,blue loctite??? will it do the trick?

so im swapping out my rear brake caliper (never done it b4) the old one wont release the pads all the way and they are lagging on my rotor.the caliper is pretty beat up so i picked one up for $60. i plan on not draining all the brake fluid and first unbolting and removing old caliper then removing brake line and putting line on new caliper and bolting back on.is there anything special i need to do to bleed fluid into the new caliper once bolted back on?
