    I would double check your jetting. If it wont get into powerband you may need to change your main jets...

    How is it acting like it "fouled a plug"? Is it running on one cylinder? Have you synced your carbs?

    Welcome to BHQ! from the sounds of that low compression, I'm guessing you need a new top end. Have you cleaned the carbs yet?

    Water proof everything that shouldnt get wet...air filters are very important and need to stay dry.

    I put one on my 2006 and it works awesome! A little tighter than the stock one, but it still fits with no problems.

    Timing plate is an easy install. You will need a flywheel puller though. There is a sticky on here with step by step instructions

    Yeah a timing plate is a good bang for the buck. As for the gearing you could drop one tooth in the front, that should lower you gears a little IMO. I'm no gearing expert though. I still run stock gears on my shee

    I've ran CPI's on a stock shee and they ran great... Maybe those 300's are too rich, so its choking on fuel at WOT?? Just a guess Do a plug chop

    How much do you want to build it? What kind of riding will you be doing? Pipes, Filters, Cool Head, Reeds, +4 Timing....I think those are your first few basic motor mods IMO.
