  1. Hey guys, just installed the VITO's tors removal kit. When I filed down the hole for the idle screws I just squared the angled part off to the shortest side of it. I can adjust the slide height still, but it seems a little short. How far down should I be going? -Mark
  2. You should be able to hear them clank when they bottom out on the carbs. So in other words as far down as they will go...
  3. I don't know where on the choke it would go... The O-ring I am talking about is like an inch in diamater
  4. Anyone? I've looked and looked and I got no clue where the o-ring is supposed to go that I got with these carb kits.
  5. Thanks dude, now I wanna try and get my hands on a TORS removal kit before this trip in 2 weeks. Anyone know of a Canadian dealer that sells them that can ship it out quickly?
  6. Funny thing is, I did that. I ended up taking the rag out to get at the last bolt because it was in my way, being the dumbass I am. But anyways, got it out with a magnetic rod, just poked around till I found it. Dropped it a few times but I managed to get her out. Thanks again for the help dudes.
  7. Thanks for all the help guys! I'm going to go pick up a flexible magnet from Canadian Tire today and give her a go... ill keep ya updated as to how I get her out
  8. You think there is any chance of running a flexible magnet through where the reeds bolt up?
  9. Hopefully........ i got a trip planned two weeks from today and I don't know if I am going to have the time to rip this thing apart and put it back together.
  10. K guys, had the carbs and reeds off today, went to put the reeds back in(I put the screws back in there proper holes after I took the reeds out) and loosened the last screw out, only for it to slip out of my hand right into the cases!! What the hell do I do know? I am going to try and magnet or something tomorrow. Anyone else got any ideas? I don't want to have to completely strip this whole thing down to get this fuckin bolt...
  11. Ya, I can't remember where that clip came from, but I am almost positive it's off the bike somewhere...
  12. Update: I think I may have left out some needed info. Needle clip is at 4th of 5 Airbox lid on with no snorkel Running Amsoil Dominator at 50:1
  13. As funny as you're video is, it would have taken just as much effort to reply with some useful information. Thanks dude, I'll search them on the forums... see what I can find.
  14. Sorry, I've also got a coolhead.. not sure what the dome size is.
  15. Hey guys, while I am rebuilding the carbs on my bike, I took the reed cages off to take a look at the reeds. They are sitting about 1/16th to 1/8th of an inch off the cage right now. Is this normal? If not, can I just flip them over to make them sit back down tight? Also, can i just upgrade the reeds instead of getting new cages and everything else? I would like to get a bit more bottom end out of the bike, the way it is set up right now it doesn't have much... just comes on like a rocket out of nowhere. Can get a bit scary at times when doing trail riding. Thanks -Mark
  16. Hey guys, what size jets do you think I should be running when going from 2300 ft to about 6000 ft. The bike currently has 230 mains and 2.5 pilots(I think). Running with FMF SST header/silencer, pro flow foam air filter. Everything else is stock. From what I can tell the bike runs good at my current elevation, I'm a bit of a newbie. And also, when I was taking the carbs out of the bike, I found some silicone sitting in the reed cages. Little balls of it, it came out of my Air Filter. Is it normal for the cage inside the air filter to be siliconed in place? I saw no reason for it... once the filter is on it isn't going anywhere. One other thing, when I was taking the carbs off, I found this little retainer/washer thing... can't figure out where it is supposed to go. It could be from the tors unit possibly... I can't figure it out. I checked the other side and couldn't find where it was on there. Thanks -Mark
  17. I had the same problem and I just tapped it one size larger and put a bigger bolt in. I also had to drill out the hole on the footpeg a bit bigger too accommodate the larger bolt.
  18. Sorry, this should have been in jetting and exhaust forum. If it needs to be moved, please do. Thanks
  19. Hey guys, new to the forums here! This place is great, I've learned tons about my bike all ready and I thank you in advance for any help. Anyways, I bought a 2000 Banshee about 2 months ago. The mods that I know of are FMF SST pipes and silencer's, ProFlo Air Filter, NOSS Coolhead, Laeger A-Arms, and Works front shocks. Now I am currently running at around 2300ft(700m). The bike runs great down here. A few weekends ago I took the bike up to about 3200ft(980m) and it seemed like it had a total loss of bottom end. The top end was still there, but starting out even on flat ground seemed like I was riding the clutch way to hard just to keep it going. I was still able to ride it for the weekend by keeping it in the powerband that it had... but getting stuck on a hill for whatever reason and trying to get going again was a chore. Does this make sense? Now, in about a month or so i will be going up to around 6000ft(1800m), I can only wander what the bike is going to do up there. I assume that the bike has been rejetted when the exhaust and intake were put on it, but I have no idea what size jets. I know I probably won't get a bang on answer to what I need, but I am just looking for some insight for what to expect when it comes to jetting when going up this high. Thanks, -Mark
