  1. I bet that is your problem. How is the idler gear supposed to stay put without a cir clip holding it on? The only thing holding it on is the clutch basket beating the side of it therefore making a knocking sound. people don't realize that those clips are only to be used once and thats it. Just check out to see if the bushing is in good shape and that the gear still has all it's teeth and install a new clip.
  2. mine made a knock when the kick start idler gear bushing was toast. Then I lost a tooth and it fucked up my crank seal.
  3. and also the pipes you took the big ol' stick of butter to? lol
  4. A hint???? Cut off more of the rear part of the a-arm then the front. That will give you a little more room.
  5. big boys need to know how to make power out of these machines. LOL. That's what he told me when I talked to him about porting my juggs.........a quick port and 4mm turned out to be a $2400 build in one hell of a hurry though lol.
  6. If you check out any of dunetires auctions you'll see that he bids against you driving up the price. have a look at a few auctions. You'll see what I mean.
  7. well it could be a number of things But I had the same thing last summer and it turned out to be that the kick start idler gear had lost a tooth. I wish I would have pushed it back instead of riding Back, It ended up taking out the crank seal. It wouldn't hurt to have a peek.
  8. give Tim at Stellar Performance a call. He makes a real nice sub frame that can be welded on or bolted on with the exception of welding on 4 tabs. I think he charges around $300 for one in bare metal. Give him a shout.
  9. Good choice....DWT Douglas EVO's Those are going on my bike this summer!
  10. yep thats the one. I just finished cutting that off of my frame tonight.
  11. HAHA ya thanks, I was going to add one of stellars bolt on sub frames but decided to do it on a dune machine Instead of my all around bike. But thanks anyway lol.
  12. Hell ya! Thats exactly what I was looking for frankie. Thanks Bud!
  13. can I ditch the stock heel guard mounts if I use the AC blackline nerfs?
  14. Hey I'm just trying to figure out exactly what I can get rid of on my frame before I take it to be powder coated. so far I eliminated the mounts for the front brake lines(no longer needed for the braided) but that's all I have come up with so far. I will be grabbing a set of AC nerfs for it but I'm not sure what they mount to. If there is anything you can think of that is not needed or maybe have some pics PLEASE post them up. Thanks
  15. you will need to get +2 tie rods. and yes you will need to cut both sides of the a-arm. I cut a bit more on the back than I did the front so the shock would clear the arm better.
  16. I've just purchased one of these kits and I like them. They are all individually bagged and look to be of good quality. the only thing is they don't come with the swing arm pivot bolt and the two upper a-arm bolts, but they do sell them. Also another member on here was mentioning that dirt builds up in the head and you are unable to get an allen key in them without spending some time digging out the dirt. And another thing, make sure you use some form of anti seizing compound like Neverseize otherwise you might cold weld the nut and bolt together. I thing it was worth the money!
  17. I also use a pressure washer for the heavy crap then wash the rest by hand. Just watch out for the Radiator.
  18. I have one too from a 2007 In great shape. what else do you have laying around? too bad the pods weren't made too fit 35's
  19. I agree. For the money and time you spend modding your machine, wouldn't you want to go with a reputable builder such as a site sponsor ? I've heard tons of good feedback about the sponsors and none about these guys.
  20. how can you call it banned when you are able to come back?
  21. no they are not. they are yfz 450 arms and shocks. But if I were on your budget I would go for the wickeds and Elkas. I saw +2 wickeds for $350 shipped on ebay and I'm sure you could find a decent set of elkas for $400 somewhere
  22. right on man!. I'll be ditching the stock seat cover for a black one and I'm going to grab a set of these rims http://www.dwtracing.com/uploads/product_image/file/10/large/EVO-1008.jpg?1226084155 Should look good! Have fun with it!
  23. looks good man! that is the similar kind of look I'm going for on my build except everything will be a flat or matt black....Even the rims. IT would look bad ass with black rims!
