  8. That blows Give cascade a call, I know they make there own silencers, maybe they can make u a set to fit the T6s
  9. Yea, eventually it'll happen again, but for 3 bucks cant complain! And as for performance, ive actually heard that running them without packing can slightly reduce performance. I just repacked mine cause i hate that loud poping sound like somethings breaking!
  10. Good question, but trust me, you'll know when its time to repack. You'll hear loud poping/crackling sounds from the silencers (maybe even from one cylinder only). I actually just purchased a brand new set of T5s, rode on them for a month, started hearing that poping noise only from the left side. So i pulled the packing out to find that the packing directly against the spark tube had hardened stiff from the oil in the gas I mean it was rock solid, causing the free flow of the exhaust, no absorption, sucked pretty bad. So I grabbed me a bit of household insulation (the cheap route), spun it around the spark tube a few times, wrapped that puppy with some masking taped and STUFFED that mug in there. Started her up and sounds like new again!
  11. Lol, actually that would even be worse in sand, if you're drag racing of course. I found that gearing even higher for acceleration is beneficial in the sand. Its common physics, asphalt/dirt doesnt hook up as well as a big pile of sand, especially with some nice 10 paddle Extremes (for your ride specifically) Anyway, if I were u I would run the 15/43 for asphalt/dirt and maybe a 14/42 or 41 for the dunes. If you look at my sig, the 2000 which has similar mods as yours, i run 14/42 in the dunes and i absolutely love it. Now on the street I may run the 15/43 or the 14/41, w/e im in the mood for
  12. 16/38 sprockets??? Where'd you come up with those #s? Believe me, ive tried many combos out there, of course racing against the same person, 300ft, 600ft, etc. First off, a 16 front is wayyy too big, the reason you are loosing is because yall are only racing a short distance. A 16 tooth front is made for top end (long 6th gear pulls). Another addition to your losses is your 38 tooth rear, which is also for topend. So you do the math, you have both sprockets on each side of the spectrum on one setup, OVERKILL, you should wash him by at least 5 bikes. My suggestion is to try either a 14front 41rear or a 15front 43rear. With those mods i think youll like the 15/43, and as i said before, just a suggestion, good luck
  13. Your throttle cable screws into your thumb throttle housing, im pretty sure u know this already, just covering the basics. Anyway, take a pair of pliers and loosen the locknut thats holding it in place, then try to unscrew the bolt with the cable through it a bit. Start the bike and adjust until it idles. Just watch you dont unscrew it too much as it could make your throttle hard as hell If that doesnt work, you may need to adjust your slide height, directly on the top of carbs. Pretty much the same procedure as by the throttle, if u have to do this just make sure you do both carbs the same, aka SYNCING.
  14. sooooo I should just let it stay with the epoxy and not let him remove it and weld?? Its just that i dont understand why people are always promoting "no epoxy" use on there products they're trying to sell, all without a proven reason as to why they don't or won't use it. Has anyone here ever had any problems with it?? :geek:
  15. I have no idea what they're valved for, they came with the bike and the guy didnt know as well, he just bought em. Im located in new iberia louisiana. Ill post pics as soon as I get home. As for price, shoot me an offer after you see the pics
  16. yea, we talked again. He's gonna take a look at them and he's sayn that he'll be able to remove the epoxy that trinity did and do some welding, the original way he would have done it. Im not too familiar with epoxy, but wouldnt it mess something up trying to remove the it from the cases?
  17. Thinking about selling my ShockWorks tripple rate coilovers w/ remote rezzies in order to get some dual chromers Just wondering what I could get for them...
  18. Yea, theres the Schmitar, Caracal-twin, tripple, trust me ive done my research. And I know shits going to break thats why i have everything hinson, everything aftermarket with proven results to prevent it for as long as possible. And when that mug breaks!! Im goin wit the twin caracal!! O yes, it will be somethin nasty. But at this moment, fuck it we gon roll wit it
  19. Getting u one????
  20. DM stands for Dominant Male, meaning that its a larger set of cylinders. Its just a name that calvin worked up to specify the larger displacement, stroke, etc... He also has a set called DMX which is even bigger
