I always watch local adds for banshees and parts just too see what pops up or some outrageous price some people ask for there quads...but lately ive been seeing them posting ridiculous crap!..."2001 banshee bored .04 over to a 410" ..."2004 banshee bored .02" & stroked to a 482cc"....where the heck are they getting these numbers from??? both of these are running stock pipes and cylinders...like is it just my area or are others seeing this also? Sorry for my rant...I needed to get it off my chest.

Strait up elka can't set up a shock. there just generic suspension built for everything/everyone.... I know you just bought them new and want your money worth out of them but do not send them back to elka you will get nowhere and be without for at least 4 weeks....sent mine to racetech and they where back to me the same week for half the price elka would charge for a re-valve... obviously im biased because thats my choice shock builder but there the real deal and mine have never felt better.

Im not a big metal mulisha person but wow that grill is nice! looks good under black plastics

My work does too..i working in machining dept...They anodize everything for me...true that your cylinders can be done, how long they last is another story...the anodize will not stick to your sleeve but im usure on what the acid will do to it...i say get them done and give us feedback...take one for the team!

Wow... Never thought someone would be much of a lowlife and yet that brave to rip off a quad like that, I really hope you get it back man but I don't think your insurance covers theft like that... It's like leaving your keys in the ignition of your car.

Had this same problem even with the tors unpluged and everything removed except the giant things on top the carbs it use to act like it was sticking wide open...weird i know!...ended up removing the whole deal with the tors eliminator kit from rmatv and never looked back...have not had a single problem with this issue..

did you flood it maybe? mine was know for the float needle to stick open when the gas is left turned on pooring gas into the cylinders...

Banshees are fast but to put that power were it belongs is were a good set of tires and suspension is key!....my cousin's banshee is faster then my 450r... but the suspension on the 450r it can outlast the shee on a long trail ride and within an hour into the ride im already the leader for the simple fact hes worn out and im just getting started....get a good set of razr2 or cheaper alternative gbc x-rex....get your rear shock reworked and set up for your riding and weight. and a set of piggy back tripple rate fronts...no need for +2 arms as you dont want a wide quad for the trails (trees are your ememy)...anyway just my opinion. probally the best looking swap ive seen yet..some of the hacked 450 chasis with a crotch rocket engine look like frankenstein...least your banshee still looks like a banshee.

Sounds like your carbs are out of sync, could be caused from a kinked throttle cable, one slide is definalty hanging.

did ya put one of the slides on backwards?

your messing me right? my wheels would vibrate off at 80mph...an 18 tooth front wont fit, or wasnt sure they even made one..and a combo at 10,000rpm and 18-55 gearing tops out at 85ish mph. im not good with sarcasm lol

the stem bearing unscrews, i cant remember what size hex key tho

32:1 on motul is pretty rich for a synthetic, lean it down to 50:1...your jetting isnt to out for it to be fouling plugs.

Had the same problem...turned out to be the TORS system as soon as the thing got wet it went ape shit. take a quick search on TORS and there are a few threads on how to remove this system on top the carbs

I have a F3 set on my quad and a C5 set on my bike will never run anything else best levers money can buy IMO

yea that shee definatly needs a top end should be around 120ish on compression, definatly why its hard to start...and with the kick starter sounds like the internal gear has a few teeth knocked off?

hey guys i tried to search but with no luck....just wanted to know if raptor 700r a-arms will on my banshee like yfz450 arms do? i got a guy in my area that will give them to me for a case of beer...just wasnt sure if they would work. thanks Andrew
