  1. Alright guys here's the deal... After doing all the math and everything, you're all better off becoming preferred customers and buying direct from them. You pay $10 for 6 months of membership and you get the same prices I do. For some of you guys that want a case of oil or a couple gallons, it's probably going to save you money right there. Thanks and sorry for the mixup. I'm still an Amsoil dealer but I want everyone to get the most for their money.
  2. I've looked VERY closely at the Trinity 2:1 intake and I've found it to be restrictive. This may be one of the reasons why the 33MM is suggested for unimproved engines. They just can't force enough air thru the intake. Personally, I think the Graydon should flow slightly better but only very slightly. I have been working on a design for a 2:1 intake that should flow better than the Trinity but I've got no-one with machining capabilities to develop a prototype.
  3. A little story... I know a couple kids that had a blaster and a trailblazer. These kids tortured these quads and they looked totally trashed and were only a year or two old. Well I hadn't seen them for a while and one day they ride up to the house on new LE Raptors showin' 'em off. Knowing these kids as I do, I should have taken a pic of the quads while they were still nice. Not 3 days later the one kids calls me up to ask if I have a brake disc for a Raptor. I asked what the heck he could have possibly hit with it to bend a disc. You guessed it... RR tracks. And it wasn't just a little wobbly, this sucker was destroyed. BTW a banshee disc will bolt right up . 2 days after that the other kid asks me if I know where to get the rubber boots for the A arms. He said he ran into a stump with the front a ruined the lower A arm and since he the one off he was going to paint the other one and so he used a pickle fork to the get the UN damaged A arm off and ruined both boots. So the moral of the story is... an idiot can ruin even the best quad in ways that the mind just cannot understand. Just accept the fact that your friends don't deserve a quad at all. Much less YOUR quad. NEVER let someone else ride your quad. It just ain't worth it. BTW I agree that if you do any kind of trail riding, hammer that sucker back any way you can. There's a boulder near one of the trail heads here that is just low enough to be hidden by the tall grass but just jagged enough to ruin a rim at low speeds and just heavy enough to be impossible to move out of the way. I guarantee there's enough aluminum rubbed off onto that rock that the darn rock has recycle value You just gotta get out the hammer an straighten it back out.
  4. Why don't we do this... Since I could spend the rest of my natural life rebuilding kickers, who ever wants me to do one should send it to me within the next week. Whoever has one to me by then {the 16th} will get it done for free. If you snooze, you lose. Send 'em to... Holyman 12968 W. Bairstow . Beach Park IL. 60087. MAKE SURE you do 2 things... 1- INSURE THE PACKAGE. One of the HQ guys kickers got lost in the mail. Fortunately I had an extra and we worked it out. 2- Send an extra return address label so I can get YOUR kicker back to YOU! By the way... If anyone has an extra kicker around, I'd like to have a one or two.
  5. Amsoil mixes anywhere from 50:1 to 100:1 depending on the formula you want to use. There are 3 that are used for premix... 2000, Interceptor, and 100:1. I use the 100:1 oil mixed at 80:1 only because I pour 1 bottle in a 5gallon can and it's 80:1. Mix it with 6 gallons it's 100:1. I'd imagine you could find all the tech info on the website as far as flash point and the rest of that good stuff.
  6. You've got some decent pipes on it to start with. I would ride it the way it is for at least a few months if not a whole season and then decide where you want to improve it. Banshee's can be made to do whatever you want and if you want to be able to ride and still get a rush, then think of maybe a 2:1 carb kit. Once you get used to the lack of low end on the banshee, you'll be happy you didn't create a banshee with low end in mind. Save your $2500 for mods that you KNOW you want to make and not just mods you like to brag about having.
  7. boon... somehow I imagine you in a dark room laying in a puddle of water with a BHQ cable running into your head like on Minority Report I'd be happy to do yours first.
  8. That's what I did. She loves it because it's purple {for now} she knows she'll never ride it 'cause it's too much power. So I guess it breaks down like this... 1 for me 1 for wife 1 for parts 1 polaris for wife 1 blaster for jr. If you look at it that way, the wife has more quads than I do That, gentlemen, is the way to work the system
  9. As many of you know, I devised a way to keep the kicker from ratlling your brains out or locking in the closed position. The problem is I did every kicker I have and anyone else I ever met and I forgot to take pics of the process in detail. So if someone wants to send me theirs, I will rebuild it for free. All you have to do is pay to ship it to me. I'll fixe it and pay to send it back. email me if you're interested... [email protected]
  10. Out of respect for advertisers who are paying to support this site, I am withdrawing my offer. Please support the advertiser at the top of the site.
  11. OK fist of all I'm not trying to make a profit off anyone here on the HQ. I've had some guys ask about AMSOIL and I'm gonna place a "dealer order" so let me know what you want and I'll order it. All I ask is that you pay the actual costs of what you want including shipping to you. Email me by the weekend... [email protected]
  12. I'm still wondering if capping off the choke tube or completely sealing the choke tube does the trick. I know some folks need to use a choke but it's only to get it to warm up. Choking one jugs should work if it really comes down to it.
  13. Are you ever gonna email me a price or a list of needs for a trade? [email protected]
  14. First of all, I as well as any other respected memeber of the HQ, have a DUTY to point out any behaviour that is bad for our community. In the past there were people who have posted items for sale with only a few other posts. As it turns out 99% of them were selling nothing. So for ANYONE here who respects this community, to tell anyone else who is just offering a warning, to "go fv(k yourself" is WAYYYY out of line. WAY OUT!!! If you can't handle a simple caution, then you don't belong here. AT ALL!!! A little humility on your part would be a really good idea right about now.
  15. I've found you're better off breaking it down as much as possible and if it doesn't sell then take the left overs and put together a parts lot. Clean all the parts really well and take good pics. Don't bother polishing anything or stripping paint unless it looks really bad the way it is. Spend the extra quarter on the "gallery" pics or the $1 for the supersize/ picture pack if you're selling something that is over $20 or needs multiple or detailed views. If there's a chance you will end the auction early, say so in the auction. It's just better that way. If you can, state a fixed shipping amount. Otherwise, weigh the parts {like cases or tranny etc,} and add a pound or 2 for packing so they can use the shipping calculator to figure shipping. Don't waste your money on multiple listings like under Motorcycles AND atv's. People are looking for RZ stuff and will find it. Don't use a reserve. Banshee and RZ stuff WILL sell. There's no sense starting the bidding low and hoping to pass a reserve price. List it for the LEAST you will take for it and let it go. Most bids come in the last few minutes so don't pull it too early if you are going to end an auction early. Finally be honest in your listing. I'm jappy to ay that I have over 730 transactions, 460+ feedbacks and only 1 VERY UNFOUNDED NEGATIVE. If you want to know more, just ask
  16. What have you worked on so far that makes it a maint machine?
  17. Funny you don't hear about the "kid poisoned from the yard pesticide" or "kid gets fingers cut off in Lawn Boy" or "kid chokes on BMW keyless remote". I think most of these problems/media coverage are caused by self righteous yuppies who don't have anything else to do.
  18. They are Mikuni carbs they just use the "P word" cable. They have never even had gas in 'em. Just so you know.
  19. Funny the last new guy that was selling an engine on the HQ asked the same amount almost wonder if it's the same engine. Never buy without bonafide pics of the items and a legitimate street address and phone number.
  20. Yeah someone sold their welded clutch rod for $20 and Minkia's toilet paper roll was gonna go for $2000 but he ended it early.
  21. I agree. Check the level in the Radiator and don't worry so much about the bottle. I moved my bottle and haven't filled it in years.
  22. never, never, NEVER send something COD!!! It took me over a month to get my COD payment. If they need it that bad, get Paypal. The funds are immediate in most cases and both parties have some recourse if things don't work out.
  23. An experienced 14 year old riding double on the street. Truth in reporting just went out the window
  24. Well they take the same cable as the stock carbs without the tors, they use a choke cable instead of a knob so you don't have to fumble around for the knob, you can put the lever where you want it and they're $150 for 2 delivered. You'll have to get the choke cable from your local Polaris dealer for about $10. email me if you want a couple pics... [email protected]
  25. I'd say do a leakdown test. You've got to be getting either tranny oil or coolant in there.
