  1. I thought he got banned. You haven't been in prison too have you?
  2. Which town is it that they have the permit for? The guy I talked to lives in Dixon which can be pretty remote and he said it is only good for gravel roads but my thing is if I could get some kind of permission from ANYWHERE I would be willing to try it out where I actually live in Illinois. He says they issue a sticker that you put on the quad. I've paid $15 for other stickers and if nothing else I at least have some documentation that's it's "streetable".
  3. I was talking to a guy the other day who lives in central Missouri who said you can pay $15 for a sticker to street ride {gravel roads only}. Have you guys heard of such a thing?
  4. Yeah I have one for $400 email me... [email protected]
  5. Send me a pic and a list if wht you need... [email protected]
  6. How about Mudslutoffroad.com Here's what I was thinking... A slut will do anything with anyone and can't get enough. So deisel or gas or lifted or not doesn't matter and offroad is generic enough to be anything trucks, ATV's suspension, hop ups etc. And for a logo you could have a mud wrestling girl.
  7. Why would he take it to you to part it out?
  8. Your bearings are most likely bad. DO NOT ride with te bearings like that. You have a much higher chance of tossing the chain and then you will have HUGE problems. Take the swingarm off and look at the bearings and the sleeve that the bearings ride on. Let me know what you find and I can hook you up with the bearings if that's what you need. [email protected]
  9. OK get this... I'm on vacation and checking my emails in a cafe and I slip into BHQ to see what's going on and I see this As much as the whole same sex bible arguement has been whipped I'm really surprised you are bringin it up AGAIN. Where you molested or something? You have far too many issues to be GIVING cousel and if you actually read the bible instead of picking out the catch phrases they put on church signs, you might be able to overcome those issues. Jesus said the physician should heal himself. You should give that a try. I can't believe I wasted good internet time on this..... again
  10. Dipstick, didn't know we had one of those, where the hell is it? HAHAHAHAHA Here's mine Just in front of the kicker and YES it needs a good cleaning
  11. Changing the tranny oil is a religion for some guys and an occasional "must do" for other guys. The dipstick is only reading trans fluid because the premix oils everything else. You will also want to keep a close eye on your air filter, bushings and bearings, chain and fuel filter/ screens. A regular compression check is a great way of telling if you are on the verge of a blow up. Anything 100 lbs and less means a top end. All in all they are a great quad that will give mny years of trusty service. Just be tuned in to the warning signs. The coolant spitting out on the pipes usually happens after an especially hard/bouncy trail ride, wheelies or hill climbing. Unless the coolant is coming out of the hose with force, it is just coolant getting splashed around until it gets into the o-flow tube and coming out. Basically move the hose or move the coolant bottle. Either way, you should be OK.
  12. I've got a maier
  13. Just so you know what's going on here is the assembly order starting from the outside... The swingarm, bearings, sleeve, dustcaps on the ends of the swingarm, bolt goes thru frame, dustcaps, sleeve and nut goes on the other side. The problem is the bolt is rusted to the inside of the sleeve. Heating the bolt will probably have no real effect since it is #1 rusted and #2 10inches long and would have to be heated the length of the bolt. The best thing to do is tip the quad to the side so you can get good straight on hits and hit it with a heavy hammer. The heaviest hammer you can get without hitting the frame. Once you get some movement, drive it back the other way. This will break the rust loose. If you havene't already ruined the threads on the bolt, get a spare nut and pound on that instead of directly on the bolt. The problem is if you mash over the end of the bolt, it won't go thru the hole in the frame but if you hammer on the nut, once you get it loose enough, you can take off the nut and drive the bolt out the rest of the way using a punch or piece of metal rod. Once you have it all out, I suggest installing a grease fitting in your swingarm which should prevent you ever having to mess with it again. Do a search for the pics I had posted. If you can't find 'em, I'll repost them here.
  14. I'd say go for it. Looks pretty straight in the pics and doesn't sound like it's missing much.
  15. Got some stock Blaster tires in decent shape. Email me if you want pics... [email protected]
  16. That's the truth. I know a guy who was on the second step of a 4 foot ladder and was painting a garage soffit. He over reached a little, the ladder kicked out and he landed on the ladder. Broke 4 ribs I know another guy who was a bricklayer. Up about 6 scaffolds, he nailed in a cleat for the plank to rest on. He went out on the plank and it pulled out. Turns out all the dozens of nails he put in were only in the foam He fell 30+ feet down onto the planks and other junk on the ground. He had to be air lifted and bone grafts and all kinds of surgeries & crap just to be able to walk. So be careful guys sometimes it's one slip and you're done for.
  17. How about that stock kicker [email protected]
  18. An american bolt with a 1-1/8 head will work and you can use a pipe wrench. Probably got that stuff just layin' around
  19. I like it. It eliminates the need for the swingarm slider around the pivot point at the frame and if you have a shortened swingarm you can get rid of the back slider too. They may be a little noisier than the stock arrangement but I doubt it. Like anything else, keep it greased up and check on it before you ride, should give alot of good years. The manufacturer says it will give better traction too. I don't know where to come in on that argument. But I think it's a good mod.
  20. It's merMAN not mermaid I like the line about his 3 friends who died when zoolander was giving his you-googaly and said that anyone could "die in a freak gasoline fight accident" There are about 6 million great lines in that movie.
  21. I guess you're all healed up from breaking your legs or whatever that was Traveling is awesome especially if you can enjoy the remote areas. Sounds like good times. Take plenty of pics.
  22. I found that going with works shocks in the front made a huge diff in my overall health after riding. I had alot of whoops in the trails I ride and they were beating me to death. The works fronts made a big improvement.
  23. Well since you're gonna be put away for a while, you and your cell mates can actually spend some time reading the bible and not just quoting it. Here's some food for thought... Proverbs 16:16-18 16 The getting of wisdom is O how much better than gold! And the getting of understanding is to be chosen more than silver. 17 The highway of the upright ones is to turn away from bad. One who is safeguarding his way is keeping his soul. 18 Pride is before a crash, and a haughty spirit before stumbling. Proverbs 12:15 15 The way of the foolish one is right in his own eyes, but the one listening to counsel is wise. Proverbs 27:22 22 Even if you should pound the foolish one fine with a pestle in a mortar, in among cracked grain, his foolishness will not depart from him. Proverbs 14:16 16 The wise one fears and is turning away from badness, but the stupid is becoming furious and self-confident. I could go on but it just may not be sinking in yet. Bummer about your Banshee though
