  1. Now that you found these cracks I almost wish you didn't get it started. This is a major problem. The best way to fix a boost bottle is to take the boost bottle off and place it in your right hand. Move your right hand and arm up and back over your right shoulder. Face the nearby field and sharply move your arm forward releasing the boost bottle when your hand is even with the horizon. If you are in an urban setting, drop it in the recycle bin with the other useless cans. You will need new intake boots. This will usually require new gaskets and the reeds will be exposed when the boots are off. So clean the entire area of even minute particles of anything that could get into the engine. You can get high quality aftermarket boots but like anything else they ain't cheap. There are probably some guys here that have a decent set laying around that they could sell for a good price. While you're shopping, get a digital camera so you can post pics of this stuff. It' alot easier to help when we can see what you see. Sounds to me like you might have gotten a bad apple. Not quite rotten but not as good as they might have lead you to believe. What year is it and how much did you pay? Where do you live?
  2. Hell, I've done not quite 60 on "glass" before, and it doesn't really seem that fast on water for some reason. Where I was at though you had to keep your eye out for this grass shit coming up through the water. I actually had to explain that to "someone" when I let her drive, that when you see grass, STOP TURN DO SOMETHING!!!!! but don't plow into it. Its terrifying when your wife is hitting 30 on one of those things and you're on back. Just be safe, use your mirrors, but don't rely on them. Check around often. The few times I've been out I've almost collided with another PWC, just because one of us made a move to sudden for the other to react, or we weren't using our heads. And yes, catching air is fun, but the landings can be rough as shit. Oh, and wait until someone pulls next to you, pivots, and shoots about 75 gallons of water on you when you're not expecting it. Damn near blow you over. Got to agree there. And when you are going 60 on "glass" water it is smoother than even riding the shee on the street. It's a blast. You'll have to get you wife her own
  3. A good thick shmear of silicone on the spigots before you put on the pipe and let it cure before you run it. should work just fine.
  4. When he says clean it up he means surgically clean. There can be no residue of any kind. Carb cleaner is a good choice because it is used to clean aluminum without residue.
  5. check your water pump impeller. usually the first thing to go. The Banshee usually cools well enough unless you have alot of work done and are really doggin' it.
  6. This is pretty funny too
  7. Kinda like smokin' weed. and hey was that "pot callin' the kettle black" a pun???
  8. Hey brokestonedbiker... Smokin' weed is a sin too. So it seems you and the sissy brigade got the same fate
  9. Of course the whole natural vss un-natural debate is not the same as legalizing gay marriage. Marriage is a religious designation that happened to be supported by most nations. It provided a way for countries to contiue to grow and to hold family heads responsible. Now that governments have supported individual desires as OK and floated away from a religion based model, illegitimate children are more than able to keep the population going and as log as someone is paying the taxes {mostly thru employers} the governments don't really care who you're sleeping with. That's why it's a political issue and not a moral one. Politians care about whoever is voting not the morals. Scripturally homosexuality is wrong and condemned. Scripturally homosexuality is unnatural. Scrpturally there is a difference between animals {where some homosexual acts are performed} and humans. There are several different topics going at the same time here. 1- Gay Marriage 2- Morality of Homosexuality 3- Naturalness of Homosexuality
  10. Gay marriage is a matter of time. It's all about the money and the votes.
  11. Politics and religion should be completely separate. Because of that, Bush will never be able to bring a permanent ban on Gay anything. He is a politian and therefore cannot make a standing religious law. Gay marriage is immoral according to the Bible but politians don't have anything to do with the bible
  12. Having been close to taking a dirt nap myself, I know it's hard to give up a favorite toy, BUT there's no glory in messing yourself up. You made a good choice. Hopefully the PWC will be easy enough on your back {getting air on a PWC is FUN but the landings can be pretty hard } and if you ever want to bring it up to the great lakes and check out the city, bring it up to Chicago. There's miles of open water, plenty of good wakes to get you airborn, and we've got a nice launch near the house. Bring a wet suit tho... Lake Michigan water is usually pretty cold.
  13. It's not worth taking apart to save on shipping. You will pay extra for it being over a certain weight {75lbs maybe?) but it's still affordable. I would check into Grayhound {yeah the bus line} they shipped a frame for me CHEAP and got it to the local depot fast!
  14. email me anyway... I could always use another banshee and if I can help you on a loan, that's good for both of us. [email protected]
  15. About 85 lbs with a simple crate. I make mine out of 3/4 plywood bottom and 1/4 plywood sides and top. Works great.
  16. The local dealer sells it and even he said not to use it. I use Amsoil now and love it.
  17. Send me an email immediately. I am an Illinois Mortgage broker. I will try to work it out so you keep the shee and get the best rate!!! [email protected] OR [email protected]
  18. Holyman

    Need Lots

got a new plus 12 ss brake line
  19. I want one. That's not yours is it?
  20. What ar ethe actual temps you are getting with the diff methods of measuring the temps. If you have a way of measuring temps externally, I would make marks every inch along the pipe and record the temp. I can't imagine a 40% spread in temp being anywhere near "normal". I'm really interested to hear the temps you have recorded and where the reading was taken.
  21. The ball joints are welded into the A arms and cannot be removed. You will need new A arms. The tie rod ends can easily be replaced. If this doesn't answer it for you, post a pic of what broke.
  22. cool send me some pics and prices... [email protected]
  23. I would never run the filter un oiled. Try oiling the filter, it might restrict it enough to richen things up a bit and you won't run the risk of dust in the engine. Next remove the screens from the inside of the tank and go back with an in- line filter. That way you will know you are getting gas when it needs it most.
