Anti-vibe Steering Stem & Pro Circuit Silencers
250rbanshee replied to 250rbanshee's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Bump...$135 shipped for the stem. $60 shipped for the silencers. Need em gone. -
So basically you're getting 12 miles to a gallon. Stock tank is 3.2 gallons I believe. Not too bad for a big bore. I can go about 40-42 miles on a tank trail riding my shee.

Hey guys. Got a couple of things I need to get out of my shop. First I got a +2 anti vibe steering stem with 1 1/8" bar clamp. Not sure of what brand it is but it has the wide honda style mounts...not the narrow yamaha style. It is new. I put this on my banshee and it made the handlebars too high for my liking so I took it right back off. It has a few nicks in the powder coating from being moved around the shop. The larger ones are on the backside of the clamp. I'm asking $175 shipped to the lower 48. And I've got a set of Pro Circuit silencers that have been cut down to 6" long. They were like that when I got the bike. These are very loud and need them gone. Asking $75 shipped for those. Any questions just ask or pm me. Thanks. http://s1196.beta.photobucket.com/user/banshee250r/library/

I have pro circuits with the 916 silencer..love the sound and the look of the silencer.

Thanks Matt. Is there really any advantage to having the a arms +1 forward? I've heard it helps the banshee to turn better. My buddy has +2 a arms and they are +1 forward and I really can't tell any difference.
-
Ok guys. I'm finally gonna buy some +2 a arms and front shocks. I ride 90% trails and woods and the occasional MSXC and GNCC race and 10% mx. So should I go with standard travel or long travel? And trying to figure out which shocks to go with. I'm really wanting the Fox Float Evols but I heard somewhere that you have to adjust the air pressure every time before you ride. Is this true? Maybe Elkas or Custom Axis would be better. Once I get my compression and rebound set I don't wanna have to be adjusting the air pressure. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

From what I've read you usually need to go up 1 size on the pilot jet. I think you'll be ok on the mains.
-
Plug chop is the best way to tell if its lean or not. I run 280 mains, stock pilots, and needle on the 4th clip year round. I don't ride in the cold weather much. My elevation is around 650. Throw in a set of 300 mains and see how it feels.

I ran em on my old 250r and never bent them. All that bike seen was trails, msxc racing and gncc's. I'm running the g force xc1's on my banshee and they are holding up great. I would love to have a set of hipers but I can't justify spending that much money for wheels on a trail beater.

There will be a lot of different answers on this. I prefer stock heads...milled and rechambered for my needs & for two reasons...it's cheaper and I like the stock look.

Here is what I emailed to him last night.... You are a fucking idiot...did you just read random shit in a catalog and throw it in this cl ad? Edelbrock carbs, 1500 ported head? 2 stroke heads aren't ported...the cylinders are. I'm surprised you didn't put that it has a comp cam in it you retarded fuck stick. That piece of shit wouldn't run 138 mph if you dropped it out of an air plane. Got a junk ass 2 into 1 dyno port pipe...do some research before you throw shit out there and make yourself look like a retard. Here is his reply... Boy if you would of read that's what the guy told me and I Have 2200$ worth of paper work for the motor so you go fuck your self and your mom and if you would look and do your research you can polish heads wish you was close to me then you could talk shit and a factory bike would run around a 100 His second reply... It's got a crane can 700 lift My reply... I don't know it all but I know I shit load more than u. Tell me what the squish and compression is...bore size and rod length. What jets are in those edelbrock carbs. Better yet race race that piece of shit u got against my either of my banshees. His 3rd reply... Being it Learn how to spell re re I don't have to show you tell you nothing but if your ever in chapel hill come see me then you can talk shit and I haven't had the bike a few weeks I just have the paper work for the work done to it traded yfz for it and I know it ran 108 through my police car radar don't have nothing to prove to stupid I'm not sure what's all in it just have the info from the man who built it and it does have the eld cards with the boost bottle His final reply... And what's squish
-
So I emailed this bozo and he said he traded his yfz450 for it and the yfz ran a radar verified 108 mph...do the words fucking moron mean anything?

Nothing wrong with the 2 into 1 pipe. There is a reason the pros ran them back in the day in the gncc's...they smooth out the power and make it more manageble and easier to ride. Banshee's are known for their light switch power delivery and that's not what you want if you are trying to go fast in tight woods. Your a arms are fine also...get some 4+1 offset front rims to narrow it up a tad and reduce bump steer. Also ditch the yfz front shocks...to raise the front end go with either trx450r, kfx450r, or z400 front shocks if you are on a budget. A -2 swingarm will help it turn better and keep the rear tires planted for greater traction. Go with holeshot gnnc's front and rear...21's up front, 20's in the rear. More compression will help low end power also.

Got it fixed...somehow I got the carb bowls mixed up. Fires right up now.

Carbs are clean...been thru em twice.

I'm having problems figuring out my hard starting issue. Engine is .040" over with wiseco pistons, very mild porting, TDR reeds, FMF Fatty's & Turbinecore 2's, stock airbox no lid w/Moose Racing air filter, stock carbs with tors, 27.5 pilots, 300 mains, needles in the middle. This thing is a pain to start...takes a good 20 minutes before it'll finally fire up. After it's running it starts fine and runs great. Here's the thing that's puzzling me..when it finally starts up it's running on the right cylinder only for a few seconds then finally the left side will start. Now after it's warm I can pull the choke and it idles up so I'm assuming it still needs bigger pilots. And it'll run with the pilot screws screwed all the way in. I had another engine on this bike and it did the same thing but I kept the same stator and exhaust. Is it just jetting or should I look at electrical issues? I changed the coil to rule that out and no change. I got 30 pilots ordered, reeds are new, and compression is good. My 01 banshee starts within 2 or 3 kicks no matter the temp. Thanks.

I've never ran an outerwear on the 2 stage filters but the single stage uni's need 'em.

You seem to have something wrong. Sounds like the specs on your rotary girder are out...double check it and make sure it's all good. If that checks out, run down the house on the corner. The one where old white haired man lives who's crazy as a loon that nobody really knows anything about. Ask him to hook you up with a flux capacitor...install it and when that baby hits 88 mph, you're gonna see some serious shit!
