  1. I agree. 12 paddles would be a must for me on a 10over.. I just don't know if your dune port will pull 12 paddles very well even with a 12over.. I believe you would be alot faster with a +6 or +8 with 10paddles.. Jmo
  2. Case Porting is definitly a must.. Jmo Prices range from 80-120 bucks, can be more. Oh and some builders like to epoxy them a little..
  3. In my opinion, go with the hot rod crank or even maybe a crankworks.. never liked anything vitos made.. Jmo. And if you want to spend some money get a twister
  4. If I were you I would put 3 stock springs in and 3 hd springs only.. Oh and make sure you dont put 2 of the same spring right by one another.. Lol If you put a lockout on it later you can put all the stock springs back in... Jmo
  5. With a +12 swingarn, I believe 12's would be a must... Jmo
  6. Yes, that's what I meant. If you up the timing anymore your going to want to run high octane so you might as well lower the cc on the domes too.. Jmo
  7. I would try a 13-41 or maybe a 13-43 since your weight.. With a 6 over I would keep the 10pdles.. Jmo
  8. If you were to going to pay for race fuel just to up the timing, I would rather just put some lower cc domes in it too and bump the timing to 7 at the max, and see if your motor likes it. Oh and you can also ask your builder and he may be able to tell..
  9. What's wrong with klotz? Ive been running klotz with my alky for years due to it not wanting to separate, and castor 927 in my gas..
  10. I would be safe and stick to what your running. You could end up burning a hole in your pistons if your not careful. You could always read the plug. Also, I wouldn't if your not running high octane or alky..
  11. what kind of riding you do, and weight.. On all around dune bike that your not going to be drag racing all the time, 28's would be great. I would get a new set of 28mm pwk's tho..
  12. From my experience, if a chain is going to come off and hit the cases and break something, the cases are going to break with or without a case saver. Only thing different is your going to have to pry the case saver out of the cases! Jmo
  13. Do you have aftermarket pipes?? If not, I would get get a set of pipes first if your getting beat without them.. And depending on ur elavation, 20cc domes would work on 91 octane..
  14. Here are Some Average prices Cub with pistons and studs. 1075-1200 Head with o-rings 250-350 at the most Crank 400-425 Port job 100-300 If it was me, I would go with a 68mm bc I don't believe the 72mm bore is not worth it. Rdz's stuff does haul the mail tho.. Remember you will also have to bore the cases with the 72mm bore..
  15. I agree, i could of kicked my old 8mil with 78mm bore a day if I had to and same with some of the 10mils, 14's, etc with no problem.. I don't like kicking some 250r's tho, some of them can be a pain. But I believe if a engine don't start in less than 3 to 4 kicks that something is wrong.. Jmo
  16. Never heard of them having tranny problems either, but I would recommend when buying one get the 06' (Ls2) a couple of simple bolt ons and your easily in the 12's
  17. I believe everyone would agree the cheetah would make more power out of the box, as well as ported, and be the way to go for the money. But then again, it depends on who ported them, set up, etc.. Personally i don't like t-rex's although I've seen them run hard also.. Jmo
  18. Porting is very different..
  19. If 80hp is what you are going for, a 4mil cub should easily do the job and be very reliable.. If your already wanting something reliable, you better go with a smaller motor in my opinion even tho bigger engines can be too they just cost more and take more time to rebuild if you have trouble.. Hell, depends on what kind of 4mil too, a 4mil dm can take you well over a 100hp and you could run with some of the bigger boys.. Jmo
  20. A 421 cub set up right should pull 12pld 73ro sl's with 13-41 gearing all day.. Jmo
  21. Yep, a bad ricky stator will cause it to lean pop and act stupid, Also check and see if the flywheel is cracked..
  22. I rode a bike once with some tire sealant (slime), and it got very dangerous at top speeds..
  23. Sounds to me it's lean or running out of fuel, Jmo..
  24. Yea, stick with what you know that works..
  25. I've seen some guys do it, but I don't think it's worth the reliablity of the motor. Theres other things i could think about doing before this.. Jmo
