  1. you need a bigge boost bottle mate  or perhaps your just geared REALLY high
  2. glad to see my golden nuggets of wisdon are getting noticed at last. lol cheers rip
  3. yeah ive had a look at these and also their cool head set up. need some more lettuce first tho lol no im not on stock porting i have a quite aggressive paul turner national port job, fmf gold series and 36mm pwk's god only knows why the guy decided stock reeds and cages would do ????
  4. would you say it "suffered" on some of the longer hillclimbs? or does it actually help as the revs can recover faster if you change down?
  5. there ya go what more could you ask for. that'll bme sending mine off soon then.
  6. Yeah i see wot you mean now there could be a risk of not enough inertia to keep it spinning after the kick as it would be harder for the crank to overcome the compression
  7. i heard that on stock barrels and reed blocks the help to unmask the boost ports more. and that the fuel has more time to speed up and atomize better, THEORETICALLY but theoretically boost bottles are GRRRRRRREAT. LOL
  8. ive recently been looking into this and ive also found out that it leads to a loss of inertia at the crank which can make the engine easier to stall but can really improve throttle response and engine pick up on a rider upto 14 st (200 lbs) i cant see how it would make it harder to start tho as you still going to get the same amount of revolutions per kick and its not going to change your compression or jetting which are both major factors in poor starting bikes. the guy who is going to do mine also said the are 2 type of lightening, the 1st being "road spec" which removes upto 100 grams and would be considered relaible but still very noticable or "race spec" which removes alot more but can lead to unrelaible flywheel integrity and failure. phew
  9. IF you are such a hater of all things shiny, why were you looking on ebay for billet throttle housings? ps the shee in you sig could really do with a sponge throwing over it man.
  10. yeah i had a banshee last year which i put pods on and was really impressed with the throttle response, trouble is pods are really hard to get hold of here, i had to get my last set shipped from the states, its something which i will be doing again tho.
  11. lol oh no he said boost bottle.........DUCK DUDE! ! ! ! their complete shit mate they do nothing i fell for the same thing a few weeks ago, try and take the abuse your about to get in a light hearted way. lol good luck give it to him lads
  12. does any one have a pic of what the finished product should look like or a"how too" anywhere. i've done a search but cant seem to find anything. cheers
  13. good stuff. ile get on to my engine guy then, thanks for the input guys,
  14. cut the springs down dude.
  15. cool ass project man, cant wait to see the end result keep those pics coming
  16. 190
  17. i recently bought another shee with quite a few mods already done to it and it came with pwk 36's already on and ive had a few ppl say their way to big for the mods (mods are in my sig) but it starts first kick, idles perfect and goes like a stabbed rat right upto the limiter, ive not had to touch a thing on them since i bought it, although i have just rebuilt the top end as a precaution as i was getting a bit of piston noise, so it'll be even faster now
  18. any one had it done? im thinking of having mine done and would just like som opinions first. ive heard good and bad things about it. good being better quicker more responsive accelleration and bad being loss of momentun or "rolling inertia" i ride for fun but do like to ride hard mostly trail/moto x. mods are listed in my sig also thinking of having .030 taken off the stock head. i think cool head would be a bit of over kill here as we dont need to worry about overheating as its usually freezing cold and the shee isnt hammered all the time only really 10-15 minuters bursts cheers all
  19. playing in sand and mud and wont rev? i'd go for a blocked main jet myself
  20. ok thanks. any advice on breaking it in? go easy for 1 tank? plenty of oil?
  21. ok guys got my barrels back today after a fresh rebore and hone, gonna put it together soon, any words of advise from the wise sages about procedure?
  22. looks good man. mine should be coming back together soon, getting my barrels back from a rebore today
  23. plenty of fuel? petcock working ok? sorry to state the obvious but mistakes have been made before. lol
