  1. lol yeah i heard if you fill em with fuel 1st you can get upto 15hp back.......
  2. my question is can i run without an equalizer tube? i have a pro design billet intakes on my she and a pro design boost bottle. the boost bottle has no tubes protruding from it and simply relies on 2 rubber push fit rings to seal it which as we all know is shit. can i just blank the equalizers off or would that be a bad thing?
  3. ok i measured it and its 30.25 from shoulder to shoulder which by your reckoning is +3? and it has 4 spacers. 2 half inch and 2 1 inch giving it a total of 3 inch extention. so its a +3-+6??
  4. cool thanks for the info mate ile put the spacers on and measure the shoulder width
  5. been slowly pulling my shee to peices ove rthe last few weeks for a winter rebuild and i havent had her long so i keep finding a few nice suprises along the way. one of which is an adjustable axle ive just discovered can any one telll me the lfull overall length of a stock axle, this one is 38" tip to tip. cheers all
  6. is that just for the head or do them settings cover the barrels as well? my barrels are due back any day now from a rebore and new pistons so ile be needing this info too. hope you all had a good christmas
  7. i did a +4 on my last banshee and was very surprised with the results. crack on
  8. thats ok man thatll do nicely i was just curious thats all. lol.
  9. oh riiiight. cool thanks for clearing that up. so what would be the benefit/reason for changing up or down on the primary ratio?
  10. BUT....whats the differnece between normal primary drive gear and straight cut drive gear? besides the obvious, one being straight and one not.
  11. well basic carb theory dictates that if its between 1/4-3/4 throttle then its needle postion being too high or needel jet being too large. (usually a mix of both). check to see where the clip is. on the top of the needle there are 5 slots. standard bring slot 2 0r 3 (clip settings are always counted from the top down). the lower the clip the high the needle will be in the needle jet therefore letting too much petrol in. raise the clip one slot at a time and test every time. if you get all the way to the top slot then the chances are the needle-jet combo are probably too big. also a point to add is the taper on the neele, racing or "tuned needle's" have a more agressive taper to allow faster fuel delivery. hope this helps
  12. where abouts in the throttle range is it bogging? ie 1/4...1/3... 1/2...3/4's as this tells you which circuit is out of balance. if its idling fine then its not the pilot. if it around mid then its probably down to the needle position being too high (clip too low). but as stated 39mm does seem awfully big.
  13. but my engine is already on the table lol
  14. did mine today. took 10 mins.
  15. thanks
  16. hell yeah lol
  17. no problem mate. i know the feeloing too mine is in peices for power mods and a rebore. just take ya time dont lose anything and try to remember what goes where or take pics if your not sure.
  18. no man its really easy to just have a nosey. drain the oil and coolant 1st, nerf bars, peg and brake lever off, take the hose off the clutch cover that ffeds the radiator takes all the bolts out from around the clutch cover give a couple of baby taps with a soft hammer and take it off nice and slow, try not make a mess of the gasket and try no to pull the kick shaft out, then the big round thing with 6 bolts in the top is the clutch assy. strip and inspect it againt a manual. the manual can be downloaded from here somewhere. EASY MAN
  19. thats me off down the garage then lol
  20. theres only one way to find out man. pull it to bits
  21. to be honest mate i think the best thing to do would be to stop moving it around and start stripping. regardless of what info ppl have to offer its gonna have to come apart anyway coz somethings definitely wrong. ide start with draining the oil and taking the clutch assy out ya never know ya might get lucky.

  24. does anyone have a rear shock for sale that would be willing to post to the uk? fitted a raptor 700 shock to mine, all seemed well til i wnet for a blast and the piggy back caught on the swingarm put a hole in it. needless to say its damping capabilities have gone out of the window and its like riding a really fast space hopper lol
  25. it helps to get the gears in easier
