  2. Oh yea... I also forgot that you mentioned that he dropped it off. That is a pretty rare occassion. Usually you have to goto them. Shows how desperate he was to offload it on someone. He will suceed sooner or later but the new owner will put some elbow grease into it and sooner or later they will be happy with it.
  3. Don't feel bad that you passed it up... There will be more... You don't want to just jump on the first one that comes along unless you feel good about it after the test drive. If your gut is telling ya something, chances are there probably is something wrong. Keep looking, and never be afraid to ask too many questions! Good luck on the search!
  4. Got some money? I want one! Go figure, all the other countries get to have em and we get to suffer. This country is out of control anymore. Here in Pa we have emissions and its so stupid! All the check for is to see if you gas cap has pressure. If it doesn't... Buy another one and then you pass. 2 Strokes aren't as bad as diesel and at least they smell alot better too!!!
  5. Searched and searched some more, where are the 2009 Banshees or are they imported?
  6. From what I know is they have em up Canada. Sadly they aren't 2 Pokes anymore...
  7. Looks nice but I wouldn't spend that much nor sell it for that price. Costs 7,000 new, 1 owner... Bikes depreciate buddy! You could spend endless amounts of cash, but you will never see it back. Keep it before you regret it if it sells... Everyone is right though... It's the closest addiction next to drugs!
  8. Goto Yahoo! and search the name of your town. Look for a Wikipedia Posting. It will have facts about your town including its elevation.
  9. I'll be dammed, same year Shee I have... Same problem too except I can get mine to go after you rev it high. It will bogg out then it will decide it wants to go. I was talkin to someone who builds these bikes and he said change the jet. I am running w/o the airbox lid on.
  10. Shit, my bad... You already checked that out. Try draining th coolant and putting it back in...
  11. Did you try checking to see if it was your impeller blade "Water Pump"? If you have a stock impeller, they sometimes break because they are plastic. I would switch out to a billet one anyways. I don't recommend MODQUAD because of some of the negative reviews. They typically have some burring and don't fit quite plum. Anyways check the water pump to see if any of the impeller blades broke off.
  12. Wait till that bitch sticks open, or you hit a nice jump! Haha... They are ok for full throttle draggin!
  13. Screw twist throttles! I prefer thumb all the way... I had converted to twist throttle on my 440ex and it was a big mistake! Trailriding was a hassle, and hillclimbing cost me 2 leg scars and alot of pain...
  14. I hate people like that also... 350cc vs 700cc, etc... Just like those damn people who brag up their ricers! "Oh I can beat a Camaro" But what they forget is that they have to drop about 5,000 - 10,000 to do it! People are tards anymore! I don't brag whatsoever other than how fun Banshees are to ride. Isn't that supposed to be the point anyways? FUN!!!
  15. I know the feeling... I was at my sisters house when my buddy called me up and told me that his 2001 400ex and my 2000 CR250R went missing. Thankfully I managed to find my own Dirtbike and a neighbor found his Quad. I recovered mine within 2 hours and he got his back 12hrs later. It was 20 Degrees out and we spent all night going yard to yard since the police wasn't doing anything. Right after his call I was there within 5 minutes and we started looking after we filed a report. If I wouldn't have found my bike I wouldn't have gotten my 02 Shee! By the way Shee runs great!!!
  16. Hey guys, it's the Noob again just being curious. I figured I would start a poll about why you sold your Shee! Sorry, fell in love with this site and can't ever seem to get off it... It's about 25 Degrees here and rained yesturday so we didn't get to go riding. No ice out today so we are going to try again.
  17. I triple that motion!!! Come on guys, this is not eBay. If you want the most on your return, use eBay. If you have a set price your thinking of use this forum or a classifieds site such as craiglist, etc... Also be smart with your transactions. Seems like nobody ever has any common sense anymore. Pay with PayPal - I hate them too but if the seller starts jerking you around, File a Chargeback. I am patient but I do not believe you should take 1 month to ship something yet you collected the buyers money! Save all emails! - This is the best way to call out a potential scammer so the moderators can ban the S.O.B! If accepting a check, Call the bank listed on the check and have them verify that the buyer has funds available. You don't like playing basketball with that rubber check do ya? Remember cash is king! Don't send money in the mail either! I only use cash then get a reciept afterwards only in person. Lastly, Don't send out your parts to someone who promises to send you the money! If your sending something away such as a head for port work, etc... Get a valid address, phone number, drivers license number and write up a contract and make them sign it. Sounds stupid but if they want your business and are legit, they should be more than happy to help! I know... I'm a noob, and trailed way off on this topic but I have been sucessfully selling on classifieds, auctions, and forums over the years.
  18. Sounds Sweet! Thanks for the info... I'll do some searchin on this site for some specific info as in what POD Filters people reccomend even if its preference. I was thinking of going to the V Force 3 Reed System. Just need to learn how to jet! Haha...
  19. Sign on the Dotted Line --------------------------- LOL!!!
  20. Shee is already bad... Haha, well not exactly. Coming from a 440ex and a CR250R, it seems really fast but I know there are faster ones out there! It boggs a little but thats probably cause its 25 Degrees out and the Airbox Lid is Missing!!! Haha... Re- What? Haha, Noobies gotta learn now... Nah, Seriously -Thanks for any suggestions/Comments...
  21. Yes, I read the NOOB Section but I wanted some personal opinions. Comedian are we? To the front of the class you go! LOL... Come on now, lets not be like the guys on ZillaHQ. They are a bunch of smartasses!
  22. Love the motor in you pic... Looks Badass! Sounds like some good suggestions also.
  23. After weeks of bitchin and moaning, I finally got a Banshee... Yes indeed, I am now the proud owner of a 2002 Yamaha Banshee! Don't really know too much about em except what everyone else posts but here we go... My question to you guys is: What should I do to mod my Shee without straying too far off from stock? All I really know at this point is that it 02 Shee and has FMF Silencers, and Stock Pipes with TORS unplugged "Not fully Removed". Won't know too much till the morning but I'm looking for a reliable trail beater. I want to change the pipes alltogether, maybe a different flywheel... Don't know too much at all. I don't want to put and special cranks or anything because most people end up needing their bottom ends re-done too. I'd rather do the topend a few times than the bottom...
  24. Don't mind Big Dave, he's menstrating. Haha... Nah seriously guys thanks for the offers. I guess it just wasn't meant to be right now but at least I can gain some knowledge on this site for when I get one. Oh believe me, I will get one this year. I will not be seperated from the pack.
